This toner was my nightmare
I got this toner as a sample, and I tried it at night. However when I got up at the morning it looked like cystic acne. My skin became very painful, red and inflamed.
It looked awfully. My face was broken out overnight.
I believe I had an allergic reaction. I am not sure to what, as I've used most of the key ingredients in this toner before.
It cost me a lot of time and nerves.
I don’t recommend.4 found this helpful.Brittany G. Jan 20, 2021
Not a fan
I had high hopes for this but it burned after it was on for a few seconds. Not the type of burn you get when you’re using a face mask or skin tightened where it tingles and it’s supposed to.... I mean like an actual painful burning feeling. My face turned bright red and I had to wash it off.
To the best of my knowledge, that’s not supposed to happen. So I had to throw this away. I had high hopes for it, but clearly it’s not for me. I don’t consider myself to have overly sensitive skin so either this is gnarly or my skin is getting more sensitive than it used to be. Either way, you may want to proceed with caution.Jojo M. Not a good idea for very sensitive skin
Firstly, I want to say that I love the concept of Good Molecules. I like the packaging, generally the pricing is affordable, and the ingredients look great.
I was very disappointed in this product. I saw many reviews describe it as hydrating and gentle. I had the exact opposite experience. It dried me out, and made me itchy and irritated. Later that same day I broke out in painful cystic acne. I believe I had an allergic reaction. I am not sure to what, as I've used most of the key ingredients in this toner before..5 found this helpful.Maria P. May 23, 2020
My skin hated this
I wanted to like this product so badly!! I love toners and haven't found one yet (now that I'm learning more about skincare) that I can use daily. Ive been using "the ordinary" niacinamide serum & never had a reaction so idt that I have an allergy to niacinamide. I took that out of my routine so I could try out this toner. I didn't want it to be too much. Now it's like all the progress I've made with my skin is ruined! My face is very red again, All my texture is accentuated, my spots are red again, plus they're everywhere! Then it gets worse when I put anything on top of it, even just a moisturizer 😭. Idt it's a chemical burn, but Idk maybe it is. Idk why this product was hated by my skin, ive used vitamin C, niacinamide, & alpha arbutin but not just arbutin. Again, just so bummed out that this didn't work 💔4 found this helpful.Alisha C. Apr 16, 2020
Red spot reaction
After reading the reviews I decided to try and I had the worst reaction. Two days in I had red spots all over my face that itched and burned . Ps I did try this on another part of my body and didn’t get that reaction before trying it on my face Thanks but no thanks 🙄2 found this helpful.Sara L. Jan 19, 2020
Got Rid Of It So Quick
I usually never have break outs, or if I do, they're never prominent or problematic. But this toner made my skin red and full on break out ): I didn't use any different cleanser or moisturizer either to make sure the product worked alright. Within 5 mins, my skin was red and inflamed. I splashed some cool water to relax it a bit. But morning time came, and my face was broken out. Thank you but no thank you.3 found this helpful.Kate D. Burning and red spotted reaction
I got this as a sample, I tried it at night and my skin felt burning but my moisturizer ended that so I thought it might be ok. However when I got up this morning it looked like I had chicken pox or someone had tried to smother me, my husbands words were "what's wrong with your face, you should go to the hospital."
I won't be trying it again.8 found this helpful.Jillian L. Feb 05, 2021
Niacinamide, even on 2% gave me breakouts.
Niacinamide, even on 2% gave me breakouts. It is very upsetting thatI had bought this and the 10% serum. I thought it was purging but no, breakouts. All over my face even on the ones where I never get pimples on. So watch out if you have sensitive skin, you might be allergic to it? idk
