Brilliant under ANY foundation for any skin type
I have used this for years, I used to buy it when I was in France because it was not available here in the States. Now I see the whole line is here ( I just got the BB cream.)
This stuff is magical, it moisturizes and creates a smooth barrier for any make up base. I used to trot it out for my make up artists when we had a model with patchy or dry skin since we were shooting with HD cameras and flakes were a no go. They loved it and are thrilled it is available here now.
I am fairly old;), I can tell you this stuff works equally well on women over 40 and 20-year-olds. No breakouts, no grease, just perfect.128 found this helpful.Angela T. Jun 11, 2014
Makeup Kit Staple
I was introduced to the Embryolisse line when I attended an airbrush makeup class in Pittsburgh taught by industry star Debra Dietrich. She always carries this moisturizer in her kit, and recommends it to fellow artists. The product is light, and absorbs very quickly into skin. It provides a dewy finish that is the perfect canvas for applying foundation. Excellent for sensitive skin. On a note of caution, I do not personally use this product as I have SUPER oily skin. I find it can be a little too much moisture if you are also on the extremely oily end of the skin spectrum.65 found this helpful.Cortney S. Apr 27, 2015
Believe the HYPE!
I wasn't sure if I should believe the claims and cult following of this product. I have combination-dry skin and too often a moisturizer either isn't hydrating enough or it's too oily or it's heavily fragranced and irritates my skin.
I use this as a moisturizer before primer (especially on very dry skin days) and as a primer in and of itself on days when my skin is doing okay but needs a bit of help and I might be in a humid environment. This creme is fantastic for both uses. It very little scent which is good for my sensitive skin. I haven't used it as a makeup remover but I've heard it's great for that as well!30 found this helpful.Nadia N. Mar 27, 2014
This moisturizer is one of the best finds and is very creamy. This really help my redness in my cheeks go down. This also gave me a glow and I never had that with other products. It is very rich and little goes a long way. I had to get one for my mom cause she kept stealing mine and her redness and sensitivities went down alot. I would definitely would suggest for oilier people just a little or try hydramat by Embryolisse.28 found this helpful.K W. Feb 06, 2015
Not good for acne prone skin
I've given this 3 stars to cover the good & bad of this product. I can see why most people would love it b/c its very hydrating & feels wonderful when smoothing on skin. Also great as makeup remover. However, it did not work for me & I had to stop using it b/c it broke out my skin badly. I do have sensitive skin & have 2 b careful of what I put on it--so if ur acne-prone--u might want 2 use with caution. But if ur not prone to acne--u'll probably love it. perfect as a foundation primer
I love this cream! It's hydrating, but not to the point where it makes my combo skin super oily and it feels perfect once you apply it. I've been using it as a foundation primer and it really helps to allow makeup to last long all day and apply effortlessly. It absorbs very quickly into the skin and provides a light dewy (but not too dewy) finish. I'm considering giving this as a baby gift since it's original use was as a diaper rash cream! A little goes a long way too, so I can't imagine seeing myself run out of this anytime soon.21 found this helpful.ModeratorKitty K. Feb 25, 2015
The Embroylisse Lait Creme Concentre works wonderful as a base for make up. It smooths over any dry patches without ease, and leaves the skin looking supple and soft. Cons? The second ingredient is mineral oil. If you have acne prone skin, I would save this for those special occasions or days where your skin is just dry and not cooperating. I cannot use this without suffering some form of a clogged pore after, which is unfortunate considering how nice this lotion is. Embroylisse should replace it with another moisturizing, non-comedogenic oil!20 found this helpful.Jemima E. Jun 18, 2015
Must have for any makeup kit
I love this moisturier, must have for all kits! I have used it on many clients as a base before I apply rcma foundation, and it works a treat. Prevents foundation from clinging and caking on any dry skin. It can also be used as a makeup remover (prior to trying it I was a little hesitatnt), but I got to a job one day the model already had makeup. She had quite dry skin, with lots of dry patches which her foundation was already cligning to. I applied a small amount of product to her face, and lightly buffed any dry patches with a cotton pad and removed the excess. I was amazed how well it worked! Foundation went on with no problems and as the day continuied it didn't cake or cling.
Definitely recommend purchasing if you have dry skin as it is a lifesaver!16 found this helpful.
