Cover FX Anti-Age Smoothing Eye Primer is a hybrid of an eye treatment and a primer. This antiaging primer immediately soothes, hydrates, and helps reduce the appearance of undereye puffiness. It also extends the wear of concealer and eye shadow. Albizia julibrissin bark extract from the Persian Silk Tree reduces the signs of fatigue and undereye circles while cucumber extract detoxifies, cools, and softens. A peptide flash complex instantly tightens the skin and firms the eye area, reducing inflammation and redness, and resulting in radiant, beautiful skin.
Suitable for all skin types.
This clinically tested and vegan product does not contain the Inflammatory Five: gluten, mineral oil, fragrance, parabens or talc.
I have been using the Cover FX eye primer for about 6 months and have found that it lives up to its treat and prime claims. I have tried everything from TooFace shadow insurance to NARS eye primer. I was drawn to it for the anti-aging claims since my eye lids are a little looser than they used to be. I was really looking for something that would help smooth them out and provide a more flawless texture to enhance my eye shadow. It's been really helpful in de-puffing and soothing the tired and dry skin around my eyes. I use it as a 360 degree primer and love that it helps smooth out the fine lines underneath my eye as well. I also find that it works well to create a base for cream and powder shadows. I apply it right after I moisturize my face because I think it works best when it has a few minutes to "set". This has become my go to for personal and professional use. On another note a little goes a long way and I feel like you get your moneys worth since it's a full 20 ml. The size also makes it easy to travel with. :)
Not only does this enhance the pigment pay off of any eyeshadow; but it also tightens fine lines, depuffs bags, and feels amazingly soothing when applied. Can NOT live w/o this. Best primer ever.
I have crepey lids and oil collects and creases my makeup in hours. My search for an eyeshadow primer that really works continues. I was really hoping this would help me with both problems, but alas, I don't think it's a good product at all. First of all as an eye shadow primer, this gave me no boost in shadow color. I swatched and compared it with four other primers (all of which were cheaper than this and from the drugstore) and they all gave more shadow boost. Of all the primers I've tried, this is the least effective at keeping shadow on longer. Honestly I've worn this for less than four hours today and my shadow is creased. That's the performance I get from bare skin! As an eye serum, this product just doesn't work for me either. It burns/tingles when I put it on and not in a pleasant way either. I toughed it out for a couple of applications, but that's it, I'm sending it back.
I really like this product even more than I thought I would, having very sensitive eyes I have become rather used to trying different eye primers and have found a few that work without irritation. With so many multi-use products I've been watching for something that was a great primer but would also help my dryness, lines and just overall results of aging until now! It's more expensive than I usually would pay for a primer but given the anti-aging benefits and amount of product you get combined with the small amount you need for daily use it's actually quite a good price. Plus I know just use an eye cream at night so I'll save from buying the am one. It not only helps my dryness it absolutely is great at keeping my eye makeup on, so I completely recommend giving this a try . I know everyone is very different and it won't be a favorite for some but it's worth a two-three week trial run.
I am still trying this out. I purchased on the recommendation of Trisha @ A Glittery Life and I don't dislike it, but I'm not totally sold yet. I have really oily eyelids so primer is a must for me. I've tried them all, too faced (not horrible but not my favorite), urban decay (hated it), sephora brand (one of my favorites), taste (another good one) and tons of others but the texture of this one is so different almost lotion like which made me nervous. I've only used it a few times (maybe 6 to be exact) and my eyeshadow has creased at least half of the time. This hasn't been a problem with the sephora it tarte brands only the others and now this one. I'm hoping it's just my imagination and I'll either figure out what I'm doing or it will end up working otherwise unfortunately this might have to go back because for the cost of it can't keep my shadow from creasing it's not the one for me. So if you've got any hints for me I'm all ears!
I honestly don't really know what this is! I bought it as a eye primer, Ive used it as a eye cream everything I can thing of, this was a waste of money. I bought this because I wanted a good eyeshadow primer that would feel cooling and gentle but still stop eyeshadow creasing, while giving some skin benefits. This is thought it would do by translating the open-ending description.
- you can't you this as eye primer, you just can't. It stays sticky (like an eye cream, not make-up) so you can't set it with powder/ eyeshadow - it will cake up and leave gel residue on the brush - it also stung my eyelids (ironic).
- upset with the fact that my plan of using this as eye primer failed, I used this as under eye cream. This proved to be to too emollient and made make-up slip and slide and crease. And so this product is useless, nothing anti-aging about this, it has alcohol in it and not the most skin loving ingredients for around the eye area. I don't recommend at all.
