I still can't believe Beautylish is offering this fantastic brush line. I purchased mine for more money from another online retailer. Without any doubt, this has to be one of the most multi-purpose eyeshadow brushes I have ever used. The softness, density and cut are perfection. Now that Beautylish is selling this puppy, I will be getting another brush for sure. For more details, photos and comparisons read my blog post http://tinyurl.com/q54suqr at www.ifmakeupcouldtalk.com. You cannot go wrong with the beauty!!
What an impressive brush! I may be an expert in many different things but smokey eyes? Never! That is, until I got this brush. I have been making "safe" eyeshadow color choices my whole life and just envied those gorgeous smokey eyes on other people. With this brush, I can't wait to get ready every morning to create a beautiful look on my eyes! Soft on my sensitive & dry skin and easy to use. Highly recommend it.
This is an absolutely fantastic brush. Honestly, I cannot recommend it highly enough. I wanted a broad shader, but what I got is so much more. You can easily do your entire eye look with this. Depending on the angle you use, it shades, it blends, it adds crease and corner colors with precision and ease. Except for places where you want to be super precise, this brush can be a one and done.
I have so many eye brushes as I have searched through the decades for products that work. I am disappointed in the quality and the application properties of 95% of what I own. If I would have started with Chikuhodo, I would have a more limited but curated collection that works. Even those these brushes seem more expensive, in the end I would have saved a ton of money. There is great performance and value here i this one little brush.
I had to think long and hard before buying a $44 eye brush but I am happy to report that it is worth the money. The grey squirrel hair works well for those ladies with super sensitive dry skin (or those with pollen type allergies; I am not speaking about animal hair allergies though) where it hurts to apply any product in the morning, even moisturizer. I used this brush in January and February when my eyelids got so dry that I couldn't even smile. I apply moisturizer mixed with a drop of argan oil and pat it on my eye area and it feels like heaven. A drop of aromatherapy oil (Aveda) works too.
I want to invest for few makeup brushes that will last me for along time "quality vs quantity" I'm so glad that beautylish offer them, the brush is perfect, soft, picking up product really well, easy blending, this is my first chikuhodo but not the last for sure need to save for the collection :)
Wow! I've been on a mission to get my HG eye brushes, and I've gone through a large number of cheaper and high end brushes to find them. I now have many I love - pencil (WG05 and Chikuhodo Z10), crease (WG17 and Zoeva 231), base (WG16), and lid laydown (Chikuhodo GSN09). But I hadn't found the blending brush for me. So I tried this one - and I'm astounded at how one brush can actually perform all of these tasks as well as blending!
It's big enough to do your base shadow quickly, yet is tapered so well at the tip that it can reach the inner corners of the eye for lid laydown, it can do a outer v, it can do a beautifully blended cut crease with a sharp transition if you want it (I think it's replacing my other HG crease brushes!), and it even works for lining the lower lash line with shadow if you're careful. How is this even possible?! And the beautifully soft squirrel hair doesn't stain or hold onto shadow colour as much as goat hair does, so I can easily brush it onto a stippling sponge to clean it in between colours so I can use it for multiple purposes without muddying my shadow. The only thing it can't do is a sharp thin eyeliner. I am in awe of the artistry of this brush - and if I had bought it first, I doubt I'd have needed to keep looking for so many others.
If you're thinking about starting to invest in higher end eye brushes, do yourself a favour and just try this one - it may cost more initially, but you're likely to save in the long run!
It is really great hair that help me to perform all the best of my shimmer shadows. I have got all the brushes from Tom ford. But they work so bad. Tom ford eye shadows actually shining beautifully but its brush almost destroy this. They Make me even start to put on shadows by finger. I had been using bobbi brown shadow and brushes for a long time which never make me disappointed. I changed into tom ford last month which waste me 500£ on their poor brushes. I thought the products may work better with the brushes from its own brand. Well,I have to say that is a huge mistake. Don't take a risk of your money. Even chikuhodo Z is a bit pricy but you won't be curious about a better brush from now on as it is the best.
This is the softest brush I've ever felt....its perfect for applying a base shadow all over the lid. I also like to use Chikuhodo GSN-10 to apply a crease color, then sweep a shimmery shade all over the lid. SUPER easy to apply because of the quality of the brushes. It just applies color so evenly and perfectly. I absolutely love Chikuhodo brushes. This was my first Chikuhodo purchase, and inspired a few more. Great investment...I know it will last forever!
I wish I found Chikuhodo sooner. After shedding out major bucks on Tom Ford brushes, I was so disappointed that the eyeshadow brushes still irritated my eyes. The TF counterpart is good but hardly compares to Chikuhodo Z-5 and is a lot more expensive. I have heard good things about Chikuhodo's GSN series. I wonder if the brush is as soft as its Z series?
This has become my favorite eye shadow brush. The softness and density are perfect for my small, hooded and very sensitive eyes. I am slowly replacing my makeup brushes and will continue to purchase brushes from this line. Thank you Beautylish for offering these brushes at a fair price.
