I for one LOVE perfectly round fluffy brushes. This brush is that said brush. It's ridiculously soft for a goat haired brush and the ferrule is perfectly round. After washing it gets even bigger, softer, and fluffier. It's so beautiful and yet functional. It is awesome at picking up product and could be used for any type of blush (powder, cream, cream-to-powder, etc). I love this thing. I may just buy another one.
I absolutely love this brush! ShamelessFripperies has an amazing review of the series if you need better pictures. This is the softest goat (or any material really) brush I have ever used and would highly recommend the Takumi series for the price. The brush is shorter than most of my other brushes--just under 6". The ferrule and handle are both plastic. At first I didn't like that but now I think it's really durable and really lightweight. This is a medium dense round face brush with subtle tapering. Amazing for placing product and some blending--I'd recommend a larger and less dense brush for easier blending/pigmented products.
This brush is well made, but not as soft as everyone has made it seem. I use synthetic brushes mostly, so perhaps I don't understand how soft this is compared to other goat hair brushes? I find my synthetic hair brushes to be softer. I really love the shape of this brush, I have nothing like it. Also, the density is perfect for buffing out powder so you get coverage, but don't wind up cakey.
Such a lovely lovely high quality blush brush, this one. It is soft, but not too soft. It picks just the right amount of product and in my opinion the size of the brush is perfect. I also appreciate the short handle.
Btw, I sometimes have allergic reactions from natural hair brushes but with Chikuhodo and Wayne Goss my skin has kept its cool. Which is cool. :)
Super soft, works great with the NARS dual intensity blushes ( hard to find the perfect match for those blushes!!) apply the blush as flawless as can be giving an airbrushed look. Great brush that's worth every penny :))
These brushes are quite small and light, but very pretty to look at. I use a very pigmented blush powder so I barely brush this brush into it and distribute it across my cheeks. After its initial wash it became a bit fluffier and had an even better application of the blush. I hope that with proper care this lasts me forever!
Super soft, round and fluffy. I love this for setting powder since I have a small face. I also think it's great for blush, bronzer, etc. Since going through a couple washes the brush has been even better; it feels softer and applies product even more smoothly imo. Makes me want to try the rest of the takumi line, especially the eye brushes.
For powders, creams and liquids. This brush blends all products incredibly well, and you can use it for applying just about anything!
This is my first real hair brush. This brush is incredibly soft and blends beautifully. I have to admit, when I first got it and applied on my face I thought I spend all the money just for soft brush hair, because it doesn't blend as nice as my Ecotools or Real Techniques brush, and those are like $10. But after I washed it, and I started use the brush in a circular motion, the payoff of my blush came out beautifully even.
I don't have any issue like floating hair. My brush didn't shed at all which I really appreciate. My only issue with the brush is that it has little to no weight on it, which I prefer some weight on my brush. But I guess if I use a blush brush in circular motion it's properly better for me to have a light weight brush.
I would recommend buying the brush soap from Clean Apothecary here. I always use the beautyblender soap for all of my brushes. But I can tell that real hair brush is not going to work with that soap because it is somewhat drying. I just thought since I spend so much on the brushes I might as well spend on the brush soap to keep the lifespan of my brushes longer. If the beautyblender soap is drying for my hands it's not going to work well with real hair.
My first Saikoho goat hair brush and now... cannot and will not be my only one; I must have more! This brush is incredibly soft and so beautifully crafted. I love how it looks so simple and sleek! I use this for bronzing and it's the perfect shape and size! It was definitely well worth the money spent. Love it 😍
