This brush is perfect for highlighting with powders. The size and shape of the brush make application precise, and I can use it on small areas of the face like my nose, cupid's bow, and even the inner corners of my eyes. I was expecting the brush to be relatively flat, but it's actually pretty fluffy, so it blends beautifully too. This brush also exceeded my expectations in how soft and shiny the bristles are. It's a real pleasure to use, and it's definitely sparked my interest in Chikuhodo brushes.
Perfect to keep in bag for touch-ups --crease shadow, powder, contour...this together with the blush brush is all you need really, for travel. Fantastic quality
I love the look of this brush, the hair is very soft, it applied highlighter ok. So far I’ve used it to apply Nars Dual-Intensity (dry) highlights, the Natasha Denona all over glow, as well as Kevyn Aucoin highlighting powders in the art of sculpting Volume III and it does a fair job, I still need to reapply to build the saturation otherwise all I get is a soft glow. Great if that’s all you’re going for but I like a heavier appliaction myself. If I were to compare it to the Wayne Goss Airbrush which is the most similar shaped brush in my collection, the airbrush hair is much softer and the handle is about an inch longer than the Chikuhodo (which is quite short). I also find that my highlight application with the same products I find better with Wayne Goss airbrush. In saying all this, I am keen to try this Chikuhodo brush out with my hourglass finishing powders and my Becca be a light face palette because I think for finishing powders the light application this brush will give would be perfect for finishing powders. On another note, I do think this brush is a quality brush, and comparatively an excellent value... and did I mention how gorgeous the handle is.
First I love this for highlight. It picks up just the right amount and blends it so effortlessly!! Seriously! I haven't used it for anything else but it is really great for your highlight on your face. The softness is unreal. It is almost as soft as my Wayne Goss #3 brush.
Not only is this brush gorgeous, it's my new favorite highlighting brush. I love the size, the softness of the bristles, and the precision you can achieve with your highlighting. I also recommend it for contouring the nose.
I use this brush for precision powdering and it also works well for what it's meant for. Love the pink color. The brush is soft and oh so cute.
I thought this would be the size of my takumi highlighter brush its actually smaller and flat not full like the wayne goss taper one for 35. Overall good for under the eyes. .. I prefer the takumi version better.
I use this brush for powdering because it's so soft and fluffy and doesn't move my foundation or concealer. It's also the perfect size to apply precise amount of powder without overpowdering (I only need it in my t-zone). The handle is short enough to fit into my tiny makeup bag on the go which is great because I can take it anywhere. Also amazing for travel because it can act as a powder, blush and highlight brush. I really need to get a second one of these!
I love this brush, it picks up my highlighters really well and is the perfect shape and size for application above my cheek bones. This is perfect for highlighters that don't get picked up adequately by duo-fibre brushes and has been a total game-changer for me. I just ordered 2 more and I will have 4 in total when they arrive. They will certainly get a lot of use from me!
The qualiy of this brush is incredible, especially since for the same price you could easily end up with terrible, probably overhyped brush.
The handle is the perfect length to balance how strong or light I want my highlight to be, and the weight is just right.
The bristles feel so soft on my skin, yet they retain some stiffness if I just want to take some product onto the tip without having it splay all over my face.
Honestly I was not expecting anything less than this and it delivered completely. I will be using this brush on a daily basis!
