I got a new version of this brush (courtesy of Beautylish's amazing customer service) and it is much much better. My previous one must have been a defective one. This is softer and has already withstood several blush applications and one wash. I look forward to many more days of beautiful blush application with this brush!
This brush was nice and soft like the other Chikuhodo brushes. I liked the size for blush and bronzer. Sadly this brush hairs became completely loose in the ferrule after two washes and I don't think I can repair it. AND I couldn't return it because it was after 30 days that it became an issue. Sad times. :(
This is a high quality gorgeous looking brush. The bristles are very soft and it's made well. This is a densely packed brush so for me, it isn't ideal for blush. I have very fair skin so I prefer a more "floppy" brush for blush, which I'm still on the hunt for by the way. I do think that a lot of people who aren't as fair as I am would really enjoy this blush brush.
I have been using this brush for just short of a year and it has held up spectacularly. Of course, it is very soft but holds its shape very well, it is also dense enough to pick up the *perfect* amount of blush without making a mess. It also cleans well, and while I use brush guards to help reshape after washing (and traveling) I don't think it is necessary since it has yet to splay or loose shape. It honestly looks and feels as it did right out of the beautifully packed Beutylish box.
I enjoy this brush a lot for blush and I'm happy with my fist Chikuhodo item. I obviously cannot compare it to the other Chikuhodo brushes but I prefer this round brush for blush to the Suqqu cheek brush (flat), MAC brushes, Make Up Forever brushes and other brushes I have. (I'd say the brush is soft enough but it's nowhere near to the almost legendary Suqqu one if that's important to you.)
I love this brush! It's denser than squirrel brushes but still very silky and fluffy. That makes it perfect for buffing on powder, blush and bronzer for a seamless finish. It's soft enough to not move your foundation underneath. Short handle makes it the perfect multi-tasking brush for travel even in a small makeup bag. I would defintely buy another one!
I bought this brush on a whim...I have a few other blush/cheek brushes...highend and more affordable ones, as well. I loved the pretty pink color of the brush and the shape of it, plus I'd been wanting to try out some of the Chikuhodu brushes. I figured it would do the job, but I wasn't expecting to be this impressed by it. It really is perfect. It applies the right amount of product easily...and should you get heavy-handed, it blends nicely without moving your foundation underneath. I cannot say enough good things about this brush. It's worth every penny and has quickly become my favorite makeup brush (sorry, Wayne...I still love yours, too!!) If you're looking for a cheek brush, you can stop searching. This one is the one.
Very similar to the RMK cheek brush, meaning denser than I'm used to. It's a beautiful collection, but this one is not quite as soft as my Wayne Goss brushes (could have something to do with the dying of the bristles) However, this will come in handy when I use hard pressed blushes. I still really like this brush, though it won't be the first I'll reach for
Omg! Just throw in your purse and your blush and your good to go. The brush is soft, picks up product light have to builded up, but I love that I have control on my blush
I absolutely love the texture, look, and weight of this product. I've had it for a year and I'm still totally inlove
