It's a beautiful foundation it needs a good moisturizer under I use tatcha dewy skin cream and dont use a ton one pump covers your face and has great coverage. If you put to much on it will enhance your lines etc. I wear shade 210 fenty 2.5n Dior nars punjab and I got shade 5n i should of gone with 4n but it works good and I'm enjoying the foundation.
I'm in total agreement with the above review. My skin is an oil slick so this is a perfect foundation for me. Impressive longevity for oily skin types. The shade range runs deep, though; I purchased N3 and I should have purchased N2. So that's two reviews where the shades run deeper than expected. I didn't have any issue with this foundation settling into fine lines, but I used a small amount (all you need) and applied it using the JUNO & CO. Microfiber Fusion Sponge ($6, sweet), which creates a totally smooth canvas with every foundation I've tried it with. But this foundation seems to having a smoothing effect all on its own, as well, even though it dries to a matte finish. I'm quite pleased with the formula.
For the $44 I paid, I'm unimpressed. Longwear? Absolutely not on my combination skin. It transfered to my fiancé's skin during our engagement photos after having applied it only about an hour before photos.
With this foundation, I'm a grease slick by 3 pm and the foundation is broken up on my t-zone. And that's with Hourglass Mineral Veil primer, which is my go-to. The foundation settles in fine lines (and I'm in my mid-20's!) as well as clings and emphasizes dry patches. It applies cakey with my Wayne Goss foundation brush and my Marc Jacobs Face II foundation brush. It may apply better with a beauty blender but since I'm returning the foundation, I'm not going to bother testing it further.
The only good thing about this foundation was my color match. I based my shade off of swatches and was pretty dead on. I fortunately didn't listen to the shade matching tool on Sephora's or Charlotte Tilbury's website because both shade 2 and 3 that were recommended would have both been too dark. This foundation is in no way inclusive to all shades of skin though.
Overall, this would be good if you're dry but don't have any dry patches and fine lines for the foundation to settle in. I personally wouldn't recommend it though, Estee Lauder Double Wear is better for roughly the same price.
I was so excited to try this foundation after all the hype and all of the YouTube reviews, but it just wasn’t for me. I heard it was a bit drying, so I made sure my dry skin was very moisturized. I applied this foundation on two different occasions, once with a Beauty Blender and once with a brush. Immediately upon application both times, I had “polka-dot” pores, which disappointed me very much. It also settled a bit into a few fine lines. It’s difficult for me to find a foundation for this reason. On the positive side, I was able to find a good match for my skin tone after visiting the Charlotte Tilbury website and enter the brand/shade names of foundations I’m currently using.
Very good for oily skin as i have ,gives very good coverage , super matte , for me i dont use too much foundation so it have a very nice coverage as i wanted to !!! in my picture i have used this foundation !!!
I was hesitant to give this foundation a try, because I have dry skin and I’m not a big fan of her magic foundation. I watched many reviews on YouTube and most of them said it’s not a foundation for dry skin. But, I’m glad that I gave it a try.
The key of this foundation is “LESS”. A small amount of it brings the best result. It feel like my skin but better. Good coverage without feeling heavy on my face. I also found that wear the Hollywood Flawless Filter underneath it will give an even better result. Longer the time I wear, better it looks. It’s so unexpected, because normally my foundation will become a bit dull after couple of hours, but not this one.
After using it for two weeks, I can say it’s now one of my favourite foundation.
My skin is more normal but prone to dryness. I've not been able to put this product down since I received it! I will be repurchasing once this product is empty. It almost has a 'blurring' effect. It is the perfect formula for my skin and preferences. More of a natural finish. Slightly tacky before setting but I have been able to successfully blend stuff over the top without setting it. It is scented! I reminded me a lot of the L'Oreal Infallible foundation both in scent and finish.
This foundation is light but has a good coverage. Gives a matte but natural finish, smells fantastic and doesn't need to be set with powder. One of my favorites.
I stand by CT as a brand. It has transformed my skin over time that now I need less makeup. This foundation is so so so good. It takes a little time to find your shade. I personally have purchased FIVE SHADES! LOL 44$ IS REALLY a good price compared to most luxury foundations. I have medium light skin with platinum hair. I can wear the MAC NW20 and C2-3 range AND I'm laura Mercier Cashew. CT LIGHT WONDER IN 4 I'm a true neutral tone. Have yet to find the exact shade in any foundation. I have shades 3N 3C 4N 5C 5W. You need the smallest amount for a full face. Use a medium fluffier foundation brush to apply and a crease brush to get in the corners of eyes and nose. Then let sit for 5 min and see if you need to apply more. I live for this foundations!
I had high hopes for this as i had always love CT products, but this is not a favourite. I have oily combination skin and i am telling you this stuff is dry on my skin. If you are an oil slick you may like this. I have to use a super moisturising primer (beauty blender dry oil for example) underneath for it to work, otherwise this will cake within few hours. Pilling on more layers were not a good idea too. And my pores were showing after few hours. Sorry not airbrush flawless for sure.
