Nice but overpriced
I bought this powder when it was first released as part of the Hummingbird collection and while it does give a somewhat blurred effect to the skin, I don't think the powder itself justifies the $84 cost. It's a baked gelee formula so a natural hair or stiffer synthetic brush is needed to pick up product but the powder is so stiff that it was difficult to pick up product at all, regardless of what natural hair brush I tried. I had to dig into the powder multiple times just to get enough to use as a finishing powder. It did blur my pores and mattify my skin without looking dry or cakey but that effect only lasted about 2 hrs. Another issue I had, which not everyone will, is that the lighter shade is quite yellow on my very fair, cool toned skin. I had such high hopes for this powder, especially as it was so hyped up but I personally think you're paying $84 for the Chantecaille name and beautiful packaging, not a revolutionary pressed powder. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I don't get much use out of mine and won't repurchase.15 found this helpful.Nina P. Oct 04, 2021
Hope it really comes back
I kicked myself a thousand times for not purchasing a backup of this. I have light, cool-toned skin and this had a definite blurring effect and I haven't found anything comparable. A little goes a long way but, alas, I hit pan and it wasn't available anymore.4 found this helpful.
