This powder is amazing!!! It’s very finely milled and not thick like other powders can be. I don’t like this powder because it’s “expensive”... I LOVE it because it works!!! I’m combo and it doesn’t leave me feeling oily in the T-Zone, keeps dry areas hydrated and has a beautiful blurring affect. It’s for someone who doesn’t want a noticeable look or feel of powder.100 found this helpful.Allison Marie F. Nov 07, 2019
60$ for 10 grams?!!!?!
I bought this overpriced powder as a recommended product from Mel Thompson. I fail to find anything special. It made my under eye crepey, my Laura mercier powder is 20 grams for 30$. I feel she likes things just bc they’re expensive. Being a MUA for 20 years I’ve used everything. Maybe she hasn’t. Will not repurchase...55 found this helpful.Christiana M. Dec 04, 2019
This is THE powder for people who have given up on powders. I have no idea what sorcery is inside, but I had sworn off setting and finishing because I always looked dry, cakey, and OLD eventually, every time. This formula is a definite game-changer, and this shade (N200) is perfect for light to light/medium skin tones. This is holy grail status and I am so happy I decided to give powder one last shot.21 found this helpful.Shasha R. Jul 23, 2020
Misleading shade names, but it has a nice finish.
This powder has a nice finish to it. A sort of airbrushed/blurred effect.
Unfortunately for me, this was the only thing I was able to appreciate about the powder. After watching as many video reviews as I could find for this product, I was able to gather that the shade 200 (Natural) would be suitable for setting my makeup. Under the eyes I always use Hourglass Diffused Light; it is typical for me to set the rest of my face with a slightly darker sheer powder- typically alternating between CT's Magic Powder in 2 Fair/Medium, Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Light Plus, Hourglass Veil Powder, or Hourglass Dim Light for reference.
I made the mistake of choosing this shade as I went off of the video reviews of several others who I know to be similar in skin tone. It quickly oxidized into a darker orange shade that I was not expecting. It's too dark to set my makeup with and too light/orange to bronze with. Unfortunately I cannot exchange or return; as I cannot locate the box it came in :( Unless you are a NW30-NW40 in Mac foundations, I wouldn't recommend this shade to anyone. I don't see how this shade is described "soft peachy pink"; it's more of a light orange brown.6 found this helpful.amy h. Sep 06, 2020
I had this powder for a long time & didn't care for it. After I figured out how it works for me, it is a daily. I use a stiffer but dense & soft brush & sort of pounce it into my my pores that need it, then brush it away. Used to use my finger but it was too much. I do use it for buffing out my bronzer & blush as I am sweeping off the excess. I do not use it under my eyes but love it for the lid. Even if I set w/ a different powder, I always use it @ the end. Great for touch ups as well. I have the translucent but am going to try the rosy light. Leaves more of a velvet matte look but give it a bit. Pretty much natural face later, not drying. I do get oily in my t~zone so I'm not sure how someone w/ very dry skin would feel about it?2 found this helpful.Ivy D. Jan 26, 2021
Lovely, lightweight setting powder
As someone with Combo Oily skin, while I find powder to be an essential part of my routine, they tend to look heavy on my face, especially when I use more lightweight foundations.
Unlike other powders, it doesn't make my skin feel dry or cake-like and I actually find I produce less oil with this powder over others personally. It's very fine and gives an airbrushed look to the skin in my opinion. It is definitely one of those powders that can get messy if you're not careful, but all in all I would highly recommend.1 found this helpful.
