I cannot live without this
This is my HG powder for the under eyes. Im on my 3rd jar of this. I tried to use other powders but i keep on going back to this one. Sure it has a tendency to leave a white cast if you do not apply properly or if you dont brush the excess powder off after you use this to bake..but if used properly...This is the BEST. As i previously stated, im on my rd jar, and have a 4th as a back up.
Not great for me.
So confused about the rave reviews for the product. It makes me wonder if I got a bad batch. For me this powder was extremely drying, left a white cast, and was patchy. All-around fail.
Pretty Good
While I’ve only been using this for a week now, I’m having some good results so far. I am mainly using this for my under eye and to set my eyelid primer. My eyelids have not creased so very impressed. It’s working under my eyes to set my concealer too, but haven’t quite got it to work the way I want to yet, I’ll have to see how the next few weeks go. So far so good.
Amazing!
Great powder! A little smaller than I'd like for the cost, however, the quality is amazing! The Laura Mercier powder always made my under eyes crepey....this powder does not! My skin stays perfectly matte, without looking dry. I've had issues with certain foundations that just don't perform well with my skin, and I've noticed that when I used this all over my face after priming before I put my foundation on...my "problem" foundation works a lot better! Has a great blurring effect on pores too!
Worst Powder ever
I just got this and the plastic top was impossible to open and when I did powder flew everywhere. You would think for $60 there would be better packaging. So I scraped up what I could and lightly dusted my face and I looked like a Geisha. My skin was stark white from just a dusting with a brush so I had to redo my foundation and I am planning to return. This was just a hot mess all around. I would give it zero stars if I could. Perfect for a Geisha or a Mime.
Absolutely love!!!!
This powder is amazing both as a finishing powder or alone on skin. I usually wear it just over my moisturizer and my skin looks nearly perfect! It blurs imperfections and mattifies my oily skin but better yet it looks like I'm wearing nothing at all. I never knew I could love a powder so much!
Drying :(
I splurged on this powder because I have incredibly dry under eyes. Nearly any setting powder can look cakey and settle into fine lines within a few hours, and I read great reviews for this product. I was hoping that it would be non-drying, and perhaps even have the bonus of providing moisture. However, I have used it a few times, and it is so drying in this area. It does not look dry or cakey, so appearance-wise, its fine. The problem is that I can actually feel it drying out my skin in this area. Granted, this was during the winter, and winters tend to be very very dry where I live. I will try this in the summer when it is very humid and maybe it will be better. I can use it very well to control oil in my t-zone, but many powders do this well, and there is no need to spend so much on them. So, 1 star for the intended purpose, 4 stars for oil control.
Mixed results
I have dry/dehydrated skin and thought this powder would be my holy grail but from day to day the finish on the powder differs even if the amount doesnt. I use my Hakuhodo powder brush to apply it and because this powder is SO finely milled a little goes such a long way. This can become an issue if you accidentally over powder. It doesnt look cakey so much as it looks like the skin is an arid surface (SUPER matte). I think this partially because the packaging only dispels a small amount of the powder which isnt enough to cover the face so when you try to sift more out, it ends up being too much. By no means is it a bad powder but use way less than you think you need!
