I was very hesitant to buy this product because of the price but after trying SEVERAL setting powders I was willing to take he risk and give it a shot. This powder is WELL worth the money. It kept my t zone in check all night long for a banquet which included cocktails, dinner, and dancing. It even lasted through the after party and it gives you a really nice flawless finish. I would definitely recommend this for anyone!
Amazing setting powder! I primarily use this to set my under-eye area, which it does well without ever looking dry or cakey or settling into my slight fine lines. It also mattifies without killing the luminosity from my concealer (By Terry Touche Veloutée, another HG). My skin is very dry, especially in that area, so finding a setting powder that works so well for me is pretty much a miracle. Way better than MUFE HD Powder (too drying) and LM Secret Brightening Powder (why would I want glitter on my dark circles?). Definitely a splurge, but one that won't leave you disappointed.
First, let me say I have fine lines and wrinkles, and--dare I say--bags under my eyes. I have not yet found a concealer nor a powder which gets rid of these. And yes, I am all about skincare. That said, it has been a very long search for a powder to set undereye concealer, l but this one is it. It actually hydrates. I wouldn't bake with this. I don't bake. But a light dusting of this powder anywhere I tend to have dryness by the end of the day, sets whatever concealer or foundation I have on, gives a smooth matte finish, and actually keep that area hydrated and flake free all day and all night. You need almost none on your brush. I like the Wayne Goss airbrush for application.
This powder is finely milled . Finer than my Laura Mercier . I am 63 and can even bake with it underneath my eyes. I love the fact it contains hyaluronic acid. I would like to see it in different colors in the future. Excellent product ! Thank you By Terry!
Maybe I'm using this thing wrong I don't know. I don't see why people are raving about this. It leaves a white cast on the skin. Its hard to work with it creates a smoke storm every time I open it or try to use the product. I just don't feel like it's so amazing to justify paying $60 for it. I have it I will use it but I will not repurchase it.
I ordered this powder based on the recommendation of a friend. She couldn't say enough good things about it. I have mature, dry skin and have always had issues using loose powder. I have wonderful Japanese powder brushes and I know how to apply loose powder with a light hand. Even with all that I have been somewhat disappointed with the results up until now. This is the most finely milled powder that I have ever tried. It is as light as air and it will actually float if you shake the container right before you open it. (Give it a moment to settle) It contains hyaluronic acid microspheres that blur pores and keep your skin from getting dried out. The price is substantial but you need very little product to finish your makeup so it will last quite a while. I have found my HG loose powder and am thrilled!
This is the best under eye setting powder! I love it! It blurs my fine lines and keeps my under eye area hydrated. Great for mature skin.
I have very dry under eyes, every setting powder I use looks cakey and makes my eyes look horrible. I've been using this for a few days and OMG my eyes look smooth and hydrated. A little goes a long way. Very much worth the $60
I have wanted to try this powder for so long and finally got it, this has very quickly become my holy grail of powders!! It sets my makeup beautifully including the under eye area, it is matte but in no way is it flat. When I dust this on my entire look just looks perfectly blended and seems to look even better as the day goes on.
I have dry/dehydrated skin and thought this powder would be my holy grail but from day to day the finish on the powder differs even if the amount doesnt. I use my Hakuhodo powder brush to apply it and because this powder is SO finely milled a little goes such a long way. This can become an issue if you accidentally over powder. It doesnt look cakey so much as it looks like the skin is an arid surface (SUPER matte). I think this partially because the packaging only dispels a small amount of the powder which isnt enough to cover the face so when you try to sift more out, it ends up being too much. By no means is it a bad powder but use way less than you think you need!
