Instantly mattify, highlight, and set your makeup with BY TERRY Compact-Expert Dual Powder. This hybrid setting powder features two finishes—matte and luminous—with a smooth, weightless texture that blends into skin without settling into fine lines or wrinkles.
For all-over application, swirl a brush over both sections of the compact and dust over your entire face, starting with the T-zone. For a sculpting look, apply the matte shade along your hairline, jaw, and cheekbones. Apply the luminous shade on the high points of your face to lift and add luminosity.

These powders are positively divine. They’re incredibly finely milled, so they apply effortlessly and meld with the skin in a way that makes them totally imperceptible...they literally blend in and look like beautiful, perfect, skin, and the design makes them extremely versatile. The outer ring is matte but not flat or dull, and the inner circle is luminous and glowy but not over the top or metallic. There is no visible shimmer, just gorgeous, ethereal, glow. Each part can be used alone or they can be mixed, allowing you to customize the finish to your specific wants or needs. I can’t even begin to describe how smooth these powders apply and how easily they blend...they truly are effortless! I am aging and at the point where some powder products can accentuate my fine lines or dry skin. I’ve felt infinitely better about my makeup since I began using these...I use #3-Apricot Glow, to add a subtle/overall warmth and glow to my NW15 skin, #4-Beige Nude to lightly contour, #5-Amber Light and #7-Sun Desire as blushes, and #8-Mocha Fizz as bronzer. As dark as #8 looks in the pan, it’s totally wearable because of the powder’s ability to be blended out so nicely. They last until I wash them off at day’s end, don’t feel the least bit dry, and never ever look cakey. Terry knocked it out of the park with these dual powders and I am ecstatic that they’re permanent and not limited edition! I definitely see myself keeping backups on hand so I don’t run out!
Every single time I wear these powders I get compliments, I started with a few and today I got 7 out of 8, I wear these as bronzers for the darkest shades, blushes, or highlighters with the lightest ones. They transform my skin and the end result is a healthy and glowy face, seriously worth every penny, these are replacing so many of my other products today!
I have the Apricot Glow and Beige Nude. I have very mature dry skin and occasionally have problems with powders but these are so finely milled they just melt into the skin. I can use the darker shade in Beige Nude for a light bronzer/contour and the middle for a soft highlight. I don't do "see it from space" highlight so this is perfect. The Apricot Glow is beautiful also. Today I used the outside ring as a setting powder. It made my makeup look so soft and pretty, almost candlelit. I will probably get a couple more and use for blush and darker bronzer. These are lovely powders. I will also use these for eye shadows.
I purchased the Choco Vanilla, and it is such a beautiful bronzer/highlight on my skin. The powder blends into my skin seamlessly. I am fair to light and neutral in skintone, and this gives me the perfect warmth and glow to my skin. The outside circle is the matte bronzer color, and the inside circle has the glowy gold highlight. I am loving the look this gives me. My skin looks healthy and luminous. Perfect for mature skin... doesn't highlight texture from what I can tell. I want more!!!
Very beautiful powder the highlighter does have alot of sparkle but its very fine. Very lightweight soft silky powder. The matte powder is very soft and silky and like a cream powder with alot of pigment. The highlighter is lovely on the cheek bones it is a very buildable highlighter. The color of this compact is perfect for my complextion. Make sure you use a small powder brush if you just want the matte powder,if you use a big powder brush you will have sparkles all over your face, but is very fine. It's up to you and the powder is very soft alot of product will pick up on brush. I do think this is a lovely powder and worth trying.
Overall very light packaging. The two separate pans are large enough to allow you to isolate a powder without having to use a small brush. The powders are so beautifully soft and blendable.
I’ll be the first to admit that I purchased the wrong shade and am too proud of a person to exchange it. Apricot Glow is overall a very pink shade. The powder in the center of the compact is a shimmery rosy pink while the ring around it is a pale baby pink that gives a sheer wash of color.
I tend to stay on the bronze side of things and pinks (especially something this light) tends to wash me out and make me look ashy.
That being said, this shade works best for me applied one of two ways. The first is as a finishing powder, dusted all over my face focusing on the center and high points of my face. (This is after setting and before bronzer/blush etc) The second is for my “no makeup” days heavily applied as a highlighter to the high points. For both of these I use the Wayne Goss 02. If I happen to get too heavy of a hand the rosy tones really start to show through I can start to look ashy. Easy fix with a skintone powder.
I fully intend on buying shades 4,5,6, and 8.
I love this product so much and i love the versatility of it!. You can mix both highlight and matte powders for a luminous glow even though the highlight is very pigmented you need to be careful. I honestly love this product, cant rave about it more.
I really loved the feel of this powder, very smooth and creamy and melts into the skin. The shimmer level is gorgeous, it gives that natural glow that we all want. The thing that made me return this product is that the shade Sun Desire, which looks like a nice warm rose turns orange on my cheeks within 30 minutes. So overall I really did love everything about this product minus the fact that it did not agree with my skin chemistry and would change colors. I have a feeling that if you have dryer skin this will work amazingly for you.
I bought this powder out of curiosity not knowing how it was supposed to be used. I am naturally very fair with cool/neutral undertones. Most cool foundations are too pink for me, so I lean towards neutral/yellow shades and use a warm pink powder to bring the shade closer to my natural tone. I bought this product wondering if it would serve that purpose and it works very nicely. Swishing the matte and highlight powders together leaves a very natural finish. I also discovered that when I fake tan, I can use the pink matte powder to brighten my undereye and the highlight is beautiful when used on its own.
I tend to use minimal (if any foundation) and just concealer and powder most days. For comparison I have the CT flawless finish (1) powder which I adore and does give me an airbrushed look. But I like to use it just in my T-zone and to cover pores.
My skin has very neutral undertones so often I need a bit of a brighter and this powder does that. It’s a typical high quality By Terry product (blendable, finely milled etc) but what I love about it is the color- I purposely purchased the “rosey” #2 (which isn’t rosey- more of a fair color with a slight pink undertone) because I didn’t want another powder that matched my skin, I wanted one that enhanced it.
This does both- you can use the outside ring for a mattifying powder all over (I use it with a small sized face brush and buff it in all over) and then use the center highlighter in between the brows, down the nose and on the high planes of the face; or mix both together.
I adore the highlighter- it’s really a fine powder that adds luminosity. No glitter, no shine, just like an inner light reflects off wherever you put it. Amazing and can be used by itself on “no makeup makeup days” without looking harsh or as a”base” for amping up your highlighter look (day to evening etc).
Love this product!
