OMG powder done by feathers of an angel!
I was intrigued by this brush because of the size and shape I don't have many squirrel brushes I do own Sonia G and some chikuhodo brushes and Wayne Goss. This is a new brand and the price seems steep especially for an up and Comer! But I'm so glad I bought this brush. My bronzer, blush and loose powder have never looked better! Everything melted into the skin like butter on popcorn! OMG it puts on the right amount and feels ultra lux while doing so. I wanted to order the whole line but the brush shapes just don't speak to me as much I ordered the small round top along with another chikuhodo brush that is shaped similarly but seriously thinking about buying a back up!
Will post a video using it soon on my YouTube (Storm Blake)7 found this helpful.Luvena F. Mar 10, 2021
Almost a love
This brush is extremely soft and quiet unique in its shape. I’d say it’s a fairly long haired paddle brush that blooms after washing to provide a bigger surface area. The quality is definitely there with the Yano series what it is lacking, though, is atheistic appeal. I think beautylish could had made this line more appealing by making these brushes different visually. Especially for the price! When I can get a chikuhodo brush with an elegant hand painted design for the same price it’s hard to pull the trigger on the Yano brushes. I think visually they are quite boring and make them less unique in the fude world and I’m less inclined to pick up brushes from the series unless the brush shape is different from what I own or could get at a lesser price point.
Overall the line doesn’t lack in quality. You’re going to get an extremely soft brush with most likely the top of the line natural hairs all hand bundled. What you aren’t getting is the excitement visually.5 found this helpful.Laura K. May 05, 2021
I purchased this brush back on Feb 1 in addition to Brush 02. I have a good sized collection of brushes including the Wayne Goss, Sonia G, Koyudo, Chikuhodo and a couple of other high end Japanese brands not sold on Beautylish. I was so pleased with the quality, aesthetic, softness etc that I shortly afterwards purchased the eye brushes as well. Due to the larger size of my collection, I have only washed this brush once (carefully). Today while using, I was extremely disappointed to see that the black lacquer on the end of the brush is chipping off. I have never experienced this with any of my other brushes. It is really a small amount, but being familiar with other Japanese made brushes and the price of this one, I'm extremely disappointed. The minimal yet attractive slant of the handle is damaged and I am concerned I will end up with chipping on others I have in this series. I attached a photo but had a very difficult time making it not blurry.4 found this helpful.
