Beauty Product Reviews

My favourite daily palette

I kept telling myself I didn't need this palette. But I kept coming back to it online and in Sephora--eventually I caved and I am SO glad I did. The smell is wonderful, the colours are great, the packaging is adorably irresistible. Too Faced knows how to present their products well. I use this palette pretty much daily for my more neutral looks, and there isn't a colour in the palette I don't like. It actually cheers me up to open up the palette and smell the chocolate first thing in the morning. :D

Holy Grail of eyeshadows

While I love ALL of Sugarpill's shadows, I have to specifically single out Tako for its amazingness. I have not used another white shadow that is as opaque as this, or as perfect for making bright colours pop.

I wish I had more to say, but this is just the holy grail of matte white shadows. If it's in stock--BUY IT! You won't regret it.

Beautiful, convenient storage with some minor flaws.

First thing's first: this palette is incredibly sleek (the lid is frosted/semi transparent and it's just awesome looking). I love looking at it now that it's filled to the brim with Inglot shadows--as well as some others I depotted. It's solid and definitely a quality product: worth the money if you have a bunch of Inglot shadows especially.

Now, there are a couple (minor) flaws that you need to be made aware of if you plan on purchasing it:

1.) While lid being magnetized is a great idea in theory--it tends to catch some of the shadow pans when I'm removing it, and that gets really annoying, really quickly. I'm considering gluing them in place to solve this problem.

2.) I had planned to depot ALL of my shadows and put them in this palette--like a fancy zpalette. Once I did this, however, I learned that the spaces for tins in the Inglot palette are a very peculiar size: there is no place online to get the tins that are this exact size (I emailed both Beautylish AND Ingot--they both responded that they didn't have any empty ones available and didn't know where to get them, either). To work around this problem, I just used tinfoil to create makeshift eyeshadow pans. Not ideal, but it works.

Overall, these are pretty small issues, and I'm still very happy with the palette. Definitely would buy again!
