Beauty Product Reviews

Lovely smell, not as hydrating as expected on its own.

I decided to try RMS for the first time after reading from Miranda Kerr's favourites plus raved reviews and after comparing the ingredient list with other facial oils. I have combination skin, worrying about first signs of ageing so I'm really looking for something that provides a deep long-term result instead of a wrinkle filler or any quick fixes. After my cleansing ritual (cleansing oil, cleansing foam, exfoliator and fango cleanse), I dabbed on rose water and waited for a minute before applying 3 drops of RMS Beauty Oil. The smell is incredible, unlike the generic 'good smells' you normally get from other skin care products. It is distinct, well-blended, yet subtle and calming. I massaged gently all over my face. My skin soaked it right in and was dewy but not greasy or sticky. For around 30' my skin felt renewed and hydrated. However after around an hour, I looked into the mirror and my skin looked dehydrating. I decided to top up with my normal moisturising cream and got this slightly burning sensation - the one you get in the winter when you leave your skin too dry it turns red. I'm not sure if it is because I did not put enough oil on, or because it is really dry over here in Melbourne. Whichever reasons, I don't think I can get away with it being my sole moisturiser. Rather, it will be a new addition to my skincare routine.
