Beauty Product Reviews

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

I have been using Nudstix gel lip and cheek balm for two years now..and I have found nothing that surpasses these beauties in quality, color or ease of application. My first color choice is Rebel, absolutely beautiful...however, I disagree with color description. Rebel is NOT “bubblegum” pink, Rebel is a darker than the shade of bubblegum and it is not as bright as bubblegum. It’s beautifully sheer, somewhat more of a light raspberry pink. Also, for those of you who use this as a blush (good choice!) and have oily skin, (if I)may recommend, try dabbing/stipple on translucent powder over the top of blush placement (use bristle tips of short bristled brush only, do not use fingers), this will shorten dry time and gel will be less sticky. Then after about a minute, use large fluffy brush to gently fluff away excess powder. Also, I took note that many have a problem of applying (gel) blush. What works for me is NEVER use fingers/sponges to apply. And never use swiping/wiping motion. If using as a blush you should stipple or dab on only. Otherwise you’ll just end up removing foundation and/or concealer you placed prior to gel blush. At the very least, you’ll move foundation around and it’ll look splotchy. I use a very short and firm bristled brush (about 1/2 to 3/4 Long) brush. For reference, I use Sephora #70 Pro buffing brush And I see now that Nudstix has a similar brush available for stippling/blending gel and eyeshadow stick. Then i place/write an X over top of bristles with nudstix balm, then dab dab dab away. And, Because this is very buildable (and depending on time of year and day/nighttime wear), I may dab yet another layer on. Nudstix balm is very sheer, which gives a lovely affect that the color floats in between layers of your skin and not just sit on top. I have never written a review before, but this is the first cosmetic that I find perfect! Also....with fine lines and wrinkles starting to appear, gel or creams on my skin does not amplify my aging such as powder blushes do. Again, Nudstix gel lip and cheek balm is beautiful!! And I love that my lips and cheeks are finally in sync with each other! Lastly....when my eyeshadow choices dictate I wear an orangey, not pink, blush I wear Nudies Nudstix in the color “In The Nude”, it’s orangey tan undertone in color. This is NOT the gel balm. Yet it is applied in the same manner as I described above.
