Acne prone/sensitive skin - rejoice!
So first, I purchased this myself, and am so glad! I was worried that the shea butter would trigger a breakout but my skin is very happy with this product! Being acne prone, sensitive, and fighting signs of aging, finding a moisturizer that's right for me is nothing short of a nightmare. I took a chance on this because I do think that dimethicone in my other products are causing my skin to break out, despite what *science* says about silicone. I love this product! It takes a little bit of work to get it rubbed in to my skin in some areas, but I also cleanse, tone and chemically exfoliate before that, so I think it's just the layering process for me. It absorbs very well and I was honestly worried that putting my spf over it, which is a matte priming spf from Super goop, would make it look weird (with double primers and all) but it works seamlessly. I don't wear a lot of makeup, so I can't speak much to the priming benefits of it, but as a moisturizer it does it's job wonderfully and most importantly DOESN'T BREAK ME OUT! I also use a lot of actives and rotate retinol in and out, so my skin can get super dry and flaky. I was having issues with dry spots in my morning routine because of this, so I was really looking for a moisturizer that would combat that. And with this one, so far so good - no dry flaky spots when I apply my spf! So acne prone, sensitive skin friends - rejoice because this just may be your new holy grail! Also, the price point is so, so reasonable. Thank you Good Molecules for making this, I love you!!
This toner and serum combo is everything!
I waited way, way too long to purchase these items. I've had my eye on the toner for a long time and am so glad I finally nabbed it. It does everything it says it does - it is super gentle and non irritating (I have acne prone, sensitive skin). I have had zero reaction to the toner or the serum which is very exciting to me. The toner definitely helps fade post-acne marks and overall brightens. I use it more of an essence in the AM and pat it on after cleansing and before chemical exfoliant, and in the evening I put it on a cotton pad and gently swipe it all over, to help get rid of any leftover spf or makeup. I love, love love this toner and think I will forever have in my cabinet! I have tried expensive toners from other brands and could not seem to tolerate them, so I was thrilled that my skin loved this one. Please go buy this, you won't regret it!
The serum is lovely, very lightweight and while it's a bit tacky upon initial application, just wait for it to fully dry before applying anything else. I do think it is helping to keep my pores minimized, I have enlarged pores on my cheeks and nose, and it is such a great price point. I had recently tried the Niacinimide+Zince from TO and broke out terribly, so I was hesitant to try another Niacinimide serum, but this one is a winner!
Bottom line - buy these! If nothing else go get that toner!
