Not a lip gloss fan, but LOVE this!
Ive never been a fan of lip glosses, the way they feel or smell... I think im still a bit traumatized by the lip glosses we used in the 90s. Anyhow, I received this in in either my Ipsy or Boxycharm subscription box about 4 months ago and the scent convinced me to give it a go. It smells the way birthday cake batter tastes, which is yummy in my opinion! It also has a nice flavor to it as well. Neither are heavy or strong, but just enough to make the experience pleasant. The gloss is silky and very smooth to apply, the formula is thin when compared to most glosses, a huge step above other formulas in my opinion. Not thick, gloopy or tacky! Gives a nice gloss to the lips without drying them out or going on thick! I am truly enjoying this gloss and am sad I am almost out! Im also amazed that this is the first time in 25 years Ive found a lip gloss worth finishing and buying more of!!!
Out of the 10 I purchased, 4 arrived broken, the concealer is meh.
I purchased 10 shades (8 from beautylish, 2 from JSC directly), 4 r the 8 from beautylish arrived with the star broken, which is a bummer when you pay that much extra for packaging. So, if you're planning on displaying, be aware that this is an issue. Let me add that my 2 star rating has nothing to do with the product arriving damaged, as this is a PRODUCT review, NOT a shipping review. Now, the concealer being used as a concealer... I was underwhelmed. It creased about the same as some others Ive used, and even worse than some. I was not impressed. I tried it with 6 different brands of primer, 9 different brands of foundation, 4 brands of powder (1 being magic star), with no primer, with no foundation, 4 brands of setting spray, and multiple application processes..... and all of the above in countless combinations. I won't rate a product this low until i really give it my best to be sure my dissatisfaction is truly with the product, I try to eliminate user error as much as possible, which is why I tried it with such a wide range of products. I wouldn't buy it again for use as a concealer. Ok, so using it for an eye-shadow base. Just a solid nope. I normally don't use my concealer as a base, but in the launch video they discussed how the white made a perfect eye-shadow base. So I gave that a shot as well. I used the white as the video indicated. It quickly creased, it shifted, it fell apart in no time. Again, I tried it with many brands of shadow in various types, used many techniques, a variety of brush types, my finger and even the old school sponge tipped applicator, plus a variety of setting sprays. I wouldn't buy it again for use as an eye-shadow base. Color correcting. It actually did ok for spot treatments. Anything larger than a spot is where it fell very short. So, all in all, this product is a NO from me. Yes, the packaging is pretty, but this is not the holy grail for me. I will not be purchasing again. I love JSC, this concealer let me down.
