About Me

My name is Lily Nguyen, I am 22 years old, and originally from Vancouver BC. I've recently moved out to Orange County to explore, hopefully to create a pathway into my future. My newly discovered love for makeup and beauty is just just starting to unfold. I'm new to this, so I am excited to learn from people, sharpen my skills, and even possibly, make new friends.

A little more about me: Before moving out to California, I spent most (or all) of my time as a hairstylist, operating my own salon in Vancouver. Wanting a change in life, I decided to refresh myself, and move to a new city. Not really knowing exactly what direction I wanted to take, I decided that I would like to branch into something other than hair, and take steps further into the realm of makeup. My newly discovered love for makeup has grown tremendously. It started off when I began to watch YouTube makeup tutorials. The art of makeup really caught my attention. There is so much more to makeup than I had been familiar with, and known prior. I am now in a new place, creating a pathway for myself to explore. My future plans include interning with an established makeup artist, here in California. (I'll touch up on him at a later time in the future.) I will be commencing, this coming up December. I am super excited to build upon and expand my knowledge of makeup, beauty, and fashion. During this time, I would also love to be active in the online community. In addition to participating with Beautylish, I would love to start my own Blog. Through this, I will be able to publish the journey of my new move: My experiences, opinions and thoughts, as well as my newly gained knowledge, using beauty, makeup, and fashion as a foundation. Further, I am in the process of starting a YouTube channel, I hope to be able to share my knowledge with everyone, along with all of the fabulous beauty gurus out there. This is all a learning experience for me as I step into a new world, so please bare with me. If you are interested, please stay tuned!
