Beauty Product Reviews

Longest lasting and most vibrant of all "punk" colors. No residue and my hair feels great. NOTE: SEE A PROFESSIONAL STYLIST PROFICIENT IN THE VIVIDS/PASTELS FOR OPTIMAL RESULTS! FYI HOME CARE: Wash hair SEPERATLY from your shower, use really COLD WATER

So I'm 33 and I finally decided to go radical with my hair again. BUT! First time using the Pravana Vivids on my own head. I had my CO-worker do the first round which I will try to post asap. We lightened all hair to a level 8/9 with Wella's Blondor and 20vol. Shampoo and dry. Then 2 1/2oz purple, 1/2oz blue and wild orchid slices in the bang. I was worried how it would work with my skin tone but it was PERFECT! It actually enhanced my lingering tan! That was June 15th. I just retouched it finally July 25th and used red slices this round but didn't lift my roots. So today I was sick of those roots so lightened those today myself and then used red mixed with some purple (nice bright magentish) on the roots and ombre into the purple. My hair is a pretty short asymmetrical angled bob with layers so didn't struggle at all doing the upkeep myself. I'll have to post my end result tomorrow morning. I will tell you to keep the longevity of these vivids is to use a cleansing conditioner instead of shampoo and don't wash in the shower. Wash seperatly in sink or tub with as cold of water you can stand. Doing that I never have bleeding after first wash. You can find cleansing conditioner pretty well anywhere only downfall is it doesn't suds up AT ALL! So to properly cleanse scalp/hair you use 15-20 pumps each wash. (FOLLOW DIRECTIONS for this specific shampoo trust me..... (depending on the brand) Def worth it though especially if you enjoy your vivids staying vibrant for far longer. I've used this regiment from the first application and I swear by it so please try if you're a vivids girl/guy, promise you won't be disappointed.
