Beauty Product Reviews

massive product, great value, nice colours

loads to like about this product: lots of product, flattering if applied right, pretty colours. highly recommend a light hand with this and applying in natural or bright light. I applied this in a slightly, warmly lit dim room and I realised I had put on way too much when i went outside. In that lighting, it was invisible on my skin tone.

what i don't like is that it seems to have a weird smell.

helped my hyperpigmentation immensely

this product is my favourite. I have been use it on my hyperpigmentation off and on for months now. When I remember to use it, I notice immediately that the dark spots are fading. After only a few evenings of application, I think the spots look 75% lighter with maybe 90% improvement after about a week. When I forget, they don't seem to improve at all. I also tried a The Ordinary vitamin C product to help with the my hyperpigmentation, but azelaic acid was far more effective.

I don't like the smell or texture (and I can only use it at night as a last step because I find it hard to use under products), but I love the results.

didn't seem to be very effective

I have been using acids for exfoliation for some time. I was previously using something combining AHA and BHA, and though I would try this as a cheaper alternative and a separate BHA in the morning. I noticed after a few months of using this I was getting insidious little clogged pores, and this wasn't help clear that or bring it to the surface at all. I don't think it caused the blogs, but it didn't help.

helped overall brightness but not hyperpigmentation

I tried this to help lighten hyperpigmentation. I applied this all over my face, and whilst I did notice an immediate nice glow and overall brightness, it didn't really lighten my dark spots at all. I'll keep using it as part of my routine until I finish, but probably wouldn't get this again. I found the azelaic acid far more effective at reducing hyperpigmentation
