Beauty Product Reviews

Gorgeous for no makeup makeup BUT

I use this product almost on a daily basis, it's beautiful when you have this with a little blush and concealer, NO MORE. Once you try and build some blush on top, or even apply this on TOP of foundation, you might see that your texture is enhanced. However, mixed in with the foundation or before as a primer, it's gorgeous!

Amazing!

I love this palette! I got the vivid one, it's insanely bright but still beautifully sheer. It's waterproof but still glossy. Now careful, it's waterproof but not smudge proof or creaseproof! Because of the light glossy texture, it repels water, but if applied on the lids, the texture will move. NOW it doesn't make the product bad! I really enjoy the look of these colours on the lids and the effect that it gives, even with the creasing is gorgeous! And this product on the cheeks? Oh lord, ah-mazing! Danessa Myricks, THIS is an amazing product !

So sad to say but I can't work with this

I love Danessa Myricks, I have her waterproof bright cream palette and it's great! Super bright! I saw recently that Depyxim (or whatever the brand's name is) was doing some cream paints just like these, but these looked a little better given the amazing reviews on Beautylish or Youtube. I was SO sad to say that I can't work with this whatsoever. I picked four shaes, the primary red, yellow, blue and the white because those are staples in a MUA's kit. I don't know how but air goes in this product the second you open them, making my first tube (the yellow one) dry out only a few months after opening it. If you don't use these EVERYDAY, you end up throwing a lot of product away and it's very sad. Formula-wise, I don't understand how to use them. I know that they are fast drying and "won't budge" but actually they REALLY don't budge. I only started blending the shadow, I already have huge patches making the lids look dry and just... terrible. The only one that dries a little bit slower is the blue one BUT it's very very very sheer and patchy. On the lips? Oh nonono, it's the dryest liquid lipstick you could ever have, even as a stain. Duraline will not mix well with it... Mac's mixing medium won't either... I am very confused because I see her masterclasses, I see tutorials, I see reviews all the time and when it comes to me using it, it doesn't work... I find these somewhat useful on the cheek, but then again, one out of three times only. I thought I had a dud at first because I only opened the yellow one when I got it, but it seems like it's all of the shades. I wanna give the brand another chance and I would love to try other formulas (foils and glazes look amazing!) but the mattes really don't work for me.
