ABH looking for redemption

I really like this palette. I find it more “romantic” and a more neutral version of modern renaissance. The formula is soft and creamy, pigmentation is great and it blends like a dream! I was hesitant to purchase this initially due to my experiences with subculture and prism, but ABH definitely made a come back with this palette. I find the colors very wearable for a day or evening look. It retails for $42 and you get 14 shades in the palette. ABH palettes aren't cheap but I think this one is worth the cost. These shadows last forever due to how little you need to use to create a look. This is definitely a palette that I will get a lot of use out of. I still prefer the modern renaissance, especially for the fall season, but this is a close second for me. Highly recommend!

Ehhh.

This palette really spoke to me when it was released. I loved modern renaissance and the color scheme of this palette is beautiful so I rushed out to pick it up. I was extremely disappointed. It is so pigmented that it makes the shadow nearly impossible to blend. I spent so much time trying to get my shadow blended and it still looked patchy where you initially sat the color down. My arms were literally on fire after trying to blend these out and get a wearable look. There are some colors that also show up much differently on your lids than in the pan, particularly the greenish shades. I love the packaging as it looks really classy but it does get dirty pretty easily given that it is velvet and the shadows have so much fallout and kick back. I think this palette is best with basic looks using no more than two colors. Anything more than that and you end up with a muddy, patchy mess and spending a ridiculous amount of time blending. I am going to keep trying to use this palette since I spent $42 on it and hope that I can find a way to make this work but at this time, I am doubtful. I would not recommend - there are so many dups out there that perform much better so if you are fan of the color scheme, I would recommend looking at some of the dups available. My personal favorite has been the Makeup Revolution Iconic Division palette! It is definitely worth checking out and the price tag is $7!

HG!

This is one of my favorite palettes! The colors and formula are beautiful! So creamy and blend effortlessly. There is some kick up but I don’t mind that given how pigmented they are. I do find that you need to use a light hand and tap off excess shadow from your brush before going in to get the best application. This palette is pretty warm toned but you can get some cooler toned looks so it is more versatile than you might initially think by looking at it. You can do very natural looks or go full on glam. This is definitely a staple in my collection and one of my favorite palettes I own (and I own plenty). This is a great Fall palette - the color story is perfect for the season. If you do not own this, you need to. You will not regret it.

Nice

First, let me start by saying I didn't really like this foundation when I first got it. It was a little too thick for me and didn't last that long on my skin. However, after playing with it and trying different application methods, I find myself enjoying this foundation now. Here are my thoughts based on the claims: Coverage: Medium - I did find that this had medium coverage. I am normally a light coverage kind of girl but this adds that little extra when needed. I also mix it in with a moisturizer when I want to thin it out and have lighter coverage. This has worked for me and I prefer it this way. Skin type: All skin types - I have combination skin this time of year. My T-zone definitely produces more oils in the summer months. It works for me and what I am looking for but I feel that if you have really oily skin, this may break up easily and if you have really dry skin, this may stick to dry patches as it does have a thick consistency. Finish: Natural - I definitely agree that the finish is natural. The finish is one of the things I really love about this foundation. It looks very natural and gives your skin a really healthy appearance. Additional Claims: A weightless, buildable, velvety, natural finish that mimics the look of smooth, healthy skin. I do agree with all the claims except the weightless claim. This is pretty thick and you can definitely feel that you have foundation sitting on your skin. If you are used to full coverage or thicker foundations, this won't bother you at all. If you are like me and used to light coverage formulas, this will feel heavy. I usually mix this with a light moisturizer and it thins it out and doesn't feel as heavy when applied. The finish is beautiful. I definitely agree that it is velvety. It doesn't last the longest on my skin but I don't really mind that as I don't use this for longevity - I have other foundations I reach for for lasting power.

Love it!

This has become my new go to Mascara! I am usually a drugstore mascara kind of girl. I have tried many high end brand mascaras but nothing had held up to my normal go to's (Catrice Glam & Doll for top lashes and Wet n' Wild Megalength for bottom lashes). I received a sample of the hourglass mascara in one of my subscription boxes and held off on trying it as I receive so many samples of Mascaras and am disappointed every time. Well, I recently decided to try it and let me tell you - GAME CHANGER! This product is wet but not too wet, thick but not too thick, and literally glides right over your lashes. It adds quite a bit of length in just one coat. Was this the MOST lengthening or thickening mascara? No. I have tried others that have been more volumizing or more lengthening. What set this apart is the longevity of it. This stuff literally stays put and looks like you just applied it ALL day. I was skeptical when I saw the claims that it did not smudge. I experience transfer or smudging with ALL mascara's, even my go tos and have come to expect it. This stuff though...this stuff is magic. It did not transfer at all or flake on me throughout the day. I work long days and this looked the same at the end of the night as when I first applied it. I immediately went and bought the full size mascara after using up my sample and I am not disappointed. If you want something that will stay put and last all day, I would highly recommend this. It works well on both top and bottom lashes. If using on the bottom, I would go in with minimal product on the wand (try wiping it on a tissue first) or it can make your bottom lashes look VERY long. Unlike most waterproof formulas, this is not clumpy or dry. It also comes off fairly easy with any standard make up remover. It is not the most volumizing but it does lengthen quite well. If you are someone who has struggled to find the perfect mascara or looking for something to last through long days, I would definitely recommend this product!
