Healthy glow

I constantly reach for this duo when I want a soft flush of color on my cheeks. This gives me “lit from within” look and it is phenomenal. The top shade is lighter and acts as a highlight for my medium/dark skin

I must say, as much as I love this product I don’t find myself reaching for it everyday because I’m more used to powder products so I’m still trying to get into the hang of creams. I love to pull this out of my vanity for special occasions and lately I’ve been keeping it in my makeup bag and applying it to my cheeks along with some mascara and lipstick and bam, that’s my on the go look! This case is also very travel-friendly because it’s not overly bulky and is slim and sturdy.

I get a full day’s wear from this glow dream and I can’t tell you how many compliments I get about my cheeks looking glowy. I like to use a beauty blender to apply this when I’m on the go but if I’m at home and have enough time, I’ll use a stippling brush.

Eh, I can’t think of any downsides to this duo. While it is an investment piece, it is undeniably worth every last penny. So happy I took the plunge and added this to my makeup collection.

A refreshing take on skincare which is SO refreshing

I love using this mask because when I do, I don’t have to think about it. It’s one of those skincare products that don’t come with many instructions and is universally easy to use. I use this once a week when I’m in the shower and I get out of the shower feeling like I just left the spa, such a wonderful feeling!

My skin does so well with the Glycolic Acid in this mask and I can’t get enough of it! My skin is left glowing, supple and hydrated every time I use this. I also believe the steam from the shower really helps to clean out my pores. Overall, I quite enjoy this product for my weekly exfoliating treatment a.k.a my spa in the shower.

Perfect for exfoliating sensitive and compromised skin

I came across this product about a week ago and I’m so excited to review it!! I have dry and sensitive skin and I’m very limited with which skincare brands I can use. I’ve always been interested in Indie Lee’s products but I’ve never taken the plunge and tried them out. My, oh my, am I so glad I did!

Even with my dry, sensitive skin, I love to exfoliate and get all the dead skin cells and debris out of my pores. This is a tradition peel that you apply with a cotton pad (included) so it’s a one and done situation which I love. Not only did this brighten my skin, I didn’t feel stripped of any oils nor did my skin have a negative reaction. I also noticed my dry patches stayed away for 2-3 days which was crazy for me. No other exfoliant or peel has kept my dry patches at bay for this long.

Easily a product I would recommend for all skin types.

My hyperpigmentation has disappeared!

I began using this serum after falling in love with the SISLEY-PARIS Intensive Dark Spot Corrector. The Intensive Dark Spot Corrector is a spot targeting brightener for discoloration and I came across that product when I wanted something for my acne scarring. Then I graduated to this big shot and I haven’t looked back since!

I have both hereditary and hormonal hyperpigmentation that I’ve struggled with for years. There came a point in my life when I believed there simply wasn’t anything that would brighten my hyperpigmentation. And let me just put this out there: I only use this product to brighten hyperpigmentation, not to brighten or lighten my skin. I love the color of my skin and I would never intend to change it by any means necessary. However, once upon a time, I had hyperpigmentation that riddled my skin and I wanted to change it. I can happily attribute this serum to brightening my discoloration while not altering the color of my beautiful brown skin.

This serum contains lemon extracts which can be irritating for some. Surprisingly enough, my dry and sensitive skin wasn’t bothered by it. There’s also a slight sent to this and I can definitely smell the white mulberry. I treated my hyperpigmentation with this every night for 12 weeks and still had a good amount of serum left once all my discoloration faded.

I highly recommend this if you are experiencing hyperpigmentation in larger areas of your face. If you only have a few spots that need addressing, the SISLEY-PARIS Intensive Dark Spot Corrector would work better for you.

Absolutely necessary if you have dark spots from acne scarring or hyperpigmentation

This is your one stop shop for the end to dark spots and hyperpigmentation. In less than three weeks my acne scarring was completely gone and mind you some of these scars had been with me for YEARS!

I also understand the size of this product and I think it is priced fairly well. You get .24oz/7ml which doesn’t sound like a lot but oh my, it very much is! I keep this in my medicine cabinet whenever I feel a new breakout forming because this is my secret weapon once the breakout is gone and scarring is left.

Along with Vitamin C there’s also Barbary Fig Blossom and Salicylic Acid which is pretty surprising because this product will exfoliate and brighten, not many skincare products do that! Exfoliation is so important because it removes the dead cells sitting on top of that discoloration.

If you have more than a few dark spots or hyperpigmentation that is in larger areas of your face, I recommend the SISLEY-PARIS Phyto-Blanc Intensive Lightening Serum which is the big sister to this spot treatment.

My pick me up for “one of those days”

When I began reading about Cacao I was curious to see the benefits and I found there are quite a lot. Then I actually tried it and fell in love. This is my secret weapon to “Woke up on the wrong side of the bed” days. I take SuperYou regularly so days like those don’t come my way very often but of course I’m a human being and still have off days. My Cacao powder always comes to the rescue and snaps me right out of those cranky days. Such a lifesaver.

I like to keep my supplements pretty basic so I’ll add one teaspoon of this to 1/4 cup of water and drink it down quickly.

A great pick me up for cold winter months and dry summer days

Love, love, love this lotion for the days my skin is feeling irritated or drier than usual. This not only hydrates but also firms and gives my skin the oomph I need.

My sister has oily skin and I’ve let her try this and she also loves it. With her skin she mentioned it absorbed quickly but still provided an all day glow without looking oily.

Here’s my routine when using this product:

1 Bioderma Sensibio Cleanser 2 Boscia Sake Treatment Water 3 La Mer Moisturizing Soft Lotion 4 Good Molecules Squalane Oil 5 Caudalie Vine-Activ 3in1 Moisturizer 6 Sulwhasoo Snowise Eye Treatment

Those six are perrrrrrffffeeeeecttttt for dry, sensitive skin if you're looking for an anti-aging and glowing skincare regimen.

Side note: I also like to use this if I’ve experienced a reaction to another skincare product or if my skin feels overly congested (usually from makeup). I like to call this my Rebalancing Act.

An "anyone can use this and love it" foundation

Ah, the Vision Cream Cover. A true gem from Danessa Myricks Beauty. I get amazing skin and makeup days everytime I use this and it makes me so excited to review! This can be used as a concealer and foundation and to be quiet frank, to get the best results, it’s best to mix two shades.

Size: The bottle is a bit over .5 oz/15ml which isn’t the standard size of a foundation (1oz/30ml). But only looking at this detail doesn’t do the product any justice. You need a pea size amount to cover your entire face and that’s if you want full coverage so the smaller size (and better price point) works perfectly for me. Being the makeup enthusiast that I am, I feel good knowing that owning this foundation in two shades doesn’t put a huge whole in my pocket.

Finish: It is a matte finish. I have severely dry skin and prefer a dewy finish to my foundation. It’s much easier to go from matte to dewy than vice versa so I don’t mind that initial application doesn’t provide the finish I’m looking for. What I like to do is use the Danessa Myricks Beauty Oil or the Cover FX Hydration Drops and it instantly transforms into a dewy finish.

Application: You get wiggle room to blend but other than that I highly recommend working in smaller areas of your face to ensure you get the results you want. I’ve thrown this on when I’m rushing to get out the door and had no problems with application.

This is also an extremely long-wearing foundation and I have smile lines that crease with almost every foundation I use but not this one which makes me pleasantly surprised. I can get a good 10-14 hour wear out of this foundation before I need to touch up.

Lastly, I like a very light coverage, radiant finish and use less than a pea size amount. I'm shades N06 and W04.

Definitely a new holy grail for me!!

Editorial, yet practical for everyday use

The Dew Wet Balm has finally arrived to Beautylish and I am so excited!! This product gives the most insane glow, it’s out of this world. My favorite is Clear because you can layer in on top (or underneath) any highlighter and your skin transforms into this glass-like effect. Best of all, it’s not glittery nor does it disturb makeup underneath it.

To apply, I love using my fingers. I find using a Beauty Blender or brush will move makeup around and that isn’t the look I go for. I also love to use my fingers to warm up the product so the dewiness is shared to broader areas of my face. It turns into a beautiful "Dew Wet" when I apply it this way. (hahaha!)

Such an absolute amazing product which is absolutely unique to this brand. Love my Dew Wet Balm!!

Insanely brightening and nourishing

I have dark circles under my eyes and bags that just won’t quit. That was at least until I tried this product. This is by far the most creamy and brightening eye treatment I’ve come across in a while.

I believe the Ginseng root extract really helps with the de-puffing. I use this once daily in the evenings and when I wake up in the morning my under eyes are bright and hydrated. If you’re planning on using this eye cream in the mornings and evenings, I recommend to use it very sparingly around the orbital bone. It is deeply hydrating and provides a luminous glow and I found my eyeshadows don’t quite agree with that (which is why I stick to using it at night).

Side note: I also like to use this around my mouth area which has become noticeably darker over the years. This brightens very nicely and I don’t find myself using as much make up as before.
