Beauty Product Reviews

already own the beige color and it’s such a nice setting powder that i had to try the pink as soon as it came out. same beautiful sheen when you use it to set or finish and is not as drying as other powders. what i love is how well this one brightens. it’s also perfect for my darker foundations so i can lighten up the complexion a bit. i definitely prefer this shade to the other, though both are great. and even though it’s pressed it still picks up like a loose powder so it’s perfect for travel. one of my absolute faves and i’m so glad it’s now part of their permanent line!

I have ND’s other 4-pan cheek/face palettes (Bloom & Tan) and I’m such a huge fan of those that i had to pick up this one as well. While i don’t think this one surpasses the Bloom in terms of color story & formula, this is still a GREAT cheek palette that i will continue to use and enjoy. I use a sponge to lay down the glow cream base & then any old blush brush to lay down a light layer of the powder super glow shade. I then highlight with the glow impact and the result is a stunningly sweet pink cheek. It’s definitely a bold, shimmery cheek and so if you know that doesn’t gel for you then don’t pick this palette up. That said, you can use a lighter hand and get something more “day wearable” if natural is your vibe. As far as the diamond powder, it’s far more glittery than some of her others so i don’t use it highlight most days & save it for evenings out. It makes a gorgeous lid/shadow topper though so I’m still getting use out of it. Lastly is that flippin adorable packaging. I didn’t buy it for the packaging but it’s such an adorable bonus, reminds me of my childhood :)

Beautiful brush

I’ve never owned a chikihodo brush before but i do have a blue squirrel hair brush by Wayne Goss so I knew i loved the softness. These brush hairs are also incredibly soft, though less pliable than my Wayne Goss highliting brush. I think that’s perfect for this face brush. It still applies setting (& other face) powders very softly so it doesn’t disturb the base underneath, but it allows better control and precision for any colored face powders you’re wanting to use it to apply, such as bronzer. Of course, i chose this particular brush for its adorable design (I’m a year of the pig) and it doesn’t disappoint. Such a unique piece for a pretty decent price from what i can tell chikihodo usually charges for this brush.

Another winner from By Terry

I buy a sun designer palette every spring as soon as they come out. The quality is amazing, buttery soft and blends like a dream. The color choices are always spot on and the presentation so amazing beautiful. This season’s palettes are some of her best yet. I got Happy Sun and it’s the perfect combo of bronzed neutrals. It’s so multifunctional as well - i use the palette for bronzing, blushing, highlighting, and shadow. Everything goes together seamlessly and you can create so many looks with just this palette alone. And I’m soooo excited the price of these have come down as well!

Gorgeous tanning water

I previously used the By Terry cellularose serum in sunny flash and while the bronzed glow it initially leaves is amazing, the lasting power just isn't there. For upwards of $90 for 1 oz, I just couldn't justify that price tag. What's great about this product is that - when used shaken - you'll get a very similar bronzed glow that will set and last. I also love that you can spray it unshaken for a more matte bronze as well as either under or over your makeup. This is just a much more versatile product and though $42 for an oz isn't exactly cheap, it's a much better bargain than the cellularose. How I use this spray is to warm up my face to match my body since I fake tan my body/neck but not my face. It's also a great product for a no makeup day just to add some color/glow & even your skin tone. Cannot be without this!

Looooove this palette!

So far I've loved every By Terry product I've tried and this has to be my favorite so far. The beauty of the palette itself is amazing and I love the design. The colors are all gorgeous either alone or blended together and it allows for a number of looks since you can either use separately or swirl 2-3 colors together. The quality of the powders are also excellent - which for $82 it had better be! Though there's a bit of kickback the texture is very creamy and it all blend Ms like a dream with great staying power. I see that By Terry is releasing 2 new palettes for the summer and I'm definitely going to need to pick one up given the excellent quality of this one!
