Beauty Product Reviews

Officially my favorite lip topper

I don't know if I should write another review for a shade I've written for, but this has just become my favorite lip topper, especially over lip tints I find too bright to wear!

I thought it was too pink and sparkly to my liking when wearing it alone with full coverage. However, I started playing with it more, and blended out on top of tinted lips... they are perfect match!!! It won't break what's underneath. It's mostly transfer proof and less drying when blended out. It gives your lips a glossy and veil effect on bold lip colors without the sticky messy smudgy side effect from using lip gloss (which might mess up your base color, too) I NEED this to be added to permenant.

Perfect... concealer lips...

Didn't know my skin tone can be discribed as "warm caramel" but now I guess I do... this matches my skin tone even better than some of my foundations lol, so if you have light to medium warm complexion, beware of concealer lips look. I was kind of hesitant about this shade for that reason, but it just looks gorgeous on anyone with lighter or darker complexion and I'm crazy about this chrome packaging so I went for it

One star off because it's little bit more drying than other js shades, but as a nude it is quite smooth and creamy. Keeping it as my go to mixer for shades I want to "nudify," as that was my backup plan with this shade anyway...

Pretty

On my warm tone Asian complexion it is a muted peachy coral shade. It brightens up my complexion without being over the top.

This is my first Js ammunition along with thick as theives. I have read so many negative reviews on his lip ammos and am really not a fan of the regular hot pink packaging so I have never picked up any. However these new shinny pink chrome bullets are too cute to miss!!!

I think they are comparatively dry as lipsticks, but bearable... and tug on my lips quite a bit. Formula wise I'd prefer lime crime unicorn lipsticks or urban decay vice lipsticks because they are more comfortable to wear and won't accentuate my lip line as much. However these are so cute and smells amazing! They are pretty long lasting and opaque too, so I'm not mad at the formula. If you spot a shade or two you like, Id say it is still worth it to go ahead and add them to your collection.

However, if you're on budget and deciding between his lip ammos and liquid lipsticks, I'd stick with the later.

Favorite EVER

I've never worn a shade this dark am dark it's not even the top three from this collection that have caught my eyes, but it after seeing more swatches, I think it looks beautiful so I decided to go out of my comfort zone for just this time... sooooo glad I did!

Who would have thought I would love an almost vampy shade this much! This formula is thinner but application is still smooth and opaque in one thin coat. Not sure if Being thinner was why it fades sooo nicely and evenly despite being a darker shade. I NEED a back up cuz I can't imagine going without it. Desperately hope JS would add this to permanent!!

Pretty and long lasting!

This is a very pretty shade Altho I'm not sure if I like something this girly. It accentuates my lip lines more than the regular matte formula and remains tacky. It takes more dips for enough coverage (1 dip is usually more than enough for me with regular j* mattes, and this one takes two to barely cover my whole lips) but it still lasts all day and fades nicely. Still worths every penny

Obsessed

When I finally received this product I fell in love with the packaging. It is sooooo pretty!! I love js liquid lips but really not a big fan of the hot pink tube... I really hope this tube will become their permanent packaging!

Open this baby up, the applicator is surprisingly improved as well... not sure how to describe it, but it just makes the application even easier than original js lippies!

I can't say this shade is my favorite shade ever as I'm more of a nude and peachy shade girl, but I can't imagine it ever go wrong with anyone and it's been growing on me!

With this top formula which beats other js lipsticks I own (which has already been my favorite formula among quite a few brands I've tried), i would recommend calabasas to anyone any age in any complexion!!! I'm seriously thinking about grabbing a backup while getting more shades from Beautylish!!

Worth the hype but please change the packaging

Nice color payoff despite the terrible fall out. Pan size is comparatively small, but with the pigmentation, a little should go a pretty long way. Make sure to stay light handed to minimize the inevitable kick ups and fall outs. My only complain is the packaging. The cardboard inside looks cheap... and most of all, I can see that the light dusty pink velvet becoming gross by catching all the kick ups and fall outs...

The shadows are of outstanding quality, but if red isn't your color, you might want to sit this one out. I find the reds very pretty but not something I'd use everyday. Look forward to their new palettes.

Love this color

Perfect formula just like his other best liquid lipsticks. Opaque, comfortable and light weighted. This shade brightens up my entire complexion. I love wearing it alone for holiday time or tune it down by mixing with chrysanthemum. I love topping it up with a little bit of rich bitch, the gold glitter from his palette as a highlight. I've been obsessed with this shade since I got my hands on it.

Fun palette!

I don't normally write reviews but I feel like I should for this palette. I like jeffrees product but been hesitate to get this palette because of the mixed reviews. Then BL had this end of winter sale so I was like "what the heck that's a steal" and went for it.

I'm so so so glad that I did! I'm not sure if there is any inconsistency with different batches, which is an experience I had with urban decay, the palette I received doesn't seem to have the problems some people mentioned. Rich bitch isn't the best gold shadow I've had, as it's a bit chunky and bit too cool tone for my lids, but they make great highlight for my lips especially when on top of that pumpkin pie liquid lipstick! I have no problem picking the shadow with a fine eyeliner brush and use it as eyeliner sometimes when I want some extra sparkles.

Princess is a great highlight for face; Courtney is so buttery as crease color and can be used as a neutral blush as well; china white is a great all around highlight; vanity is a decent eyeliner shade; confession and violent are straight up beautiful; black rainbow is such a perfect name for the shade, although the glitter are too chunky to be packed on with brush, it goes on as a decent matte black; the other two bright shades are just so jeffree and fun to play with once in a while. They are both vibrant and pigmented. They aren't the most buttery or blendable shades but they are buildable.

I don't know if it's really cuz I got a better batch, but I think the inconsistency in this palette is way more acceptable than the experience I have with the popular too faced chocolate bar palette.

I would still recommend this palette at full price. It's a great deal for the amount of product you get if these are the shades you'd use a lot. They are indeed double size pans.
