Beauty Product Reviews

Definitely buy this right now if you're looking for plump, hydrated, non-greasy skin

I used to be a winter instead of a summer. Nocturnal, not a sun worshipper. Always silver, never gold. But that's all changed now.

I'm in my 30s, so in that phase of skincare where I absolutely don't have to worry about acne, but don't yet have wrinkles deep enough to be cause for alarm. This means I don't yet need or want the incredibly rich formulas often marketed to women as anti-aging.

I was skeptical of "night drops" at first. "Night drops" sound like either a really weak serum, or the task always assigned to me after closing down the retail clothing store I worked at as a teenager.

Neither of these are true in this case. The Gold Night Drops, which I received in my Lucky Bag, are a truly amazing product that I apply like a serum when I want to wake up with my skin feeling bouncy and fully hydrated. But definitely never greasy. You know, like skin is supposed to feel.

I layer this under the Gold Repair Cream every night, and have never broken out, itched, experienced redness, or woken up in bitter, dismal regret. Highly recommended.

Yes, you really do deserve it. And yes, it's worth it. Amazing moisturizer for dry, sensitive skin

In my experience, finding a good facial moisturizer has been like fighting a long, bitter war made up of battles that I never win.

If it's fragrance free, it's loaded with silicones that give me cystic acne. If it's silicone free, it's loaded with so much fragrance it makes my eyes water. If the ingredient list is simple & therefore seemingly innocuous, it smells nice (maybe..) but doesn't moisturize worth a damn. And, sometimes still breaks me out. Cough, Drunk Elephant, cough.

Most moisturizers, high and low end, are loaded with ingredient combinations that irritate my skin, no matter how many elegant superlatives the PR firm stuffs into the marketing language.

I received this in my Lucky Bag as part of the Gold Facial Set, and am now hooked for life. I can't imagine using anything else. It's expensive - but taking care of my 30-something skin is a priority for me. This is the only face I have, so it's worth it.

To inappropriately quote John Lennon, the "war is over."
