Beauty Product Reviews

Loved enough to buy two

Bought my first one in April 2017, then another the following October - my acne-prone skin likes soft, clean face brushes. It is such a soft and versatile little brush that I use every makeup application - usually for setting powder (especially under the eyes) and powder highlight, but you could use it for far more than that. Of course like someone else mentioned, just don't use it with creams.

Most of my brushes have been Wayne Goss brushes for a few years now and I have no regrets in with the air-brush. If you're going to get just one Wayne Goss brush, go for this one.

Refreshing, poor sprayer, not for sensitive skin

[Note: I did not buy this from Beautylish] The sprayer stopped spraying evenly after a few uses and went from a decent mist to 1/3 mist 2/3 droplets. Sometimes the droplets get between your finger and the nozzle, so your finger slips. Then the actual nozzle itself comes off. So you spend half a minute getting it back on and aligning the nozzle, trying to press down at the right angle just to try to alleviate these problems... It's a shame really, since the packaging looks and feels super cute otherwise (and is one of a few reasons why I bought it).

The formula itself smells lovely (a little stronger than the Caudalie spray, kind of minty?) and feels really cooling and refreshing on the skin. Unfortunately, there is something in this that does not agree with my own acne-prone skin.

Believe me, I really wanted to love it, but it was just more hassle than it's worth :(

Convenient and reliable!

I've taken this with me when travelling a few times. The small packaging is fantastic - light, not at all fragile, hygienic and easy to use. The formula itself is also great: I don't notice any weird separation as it breaks down throughout the day, regardless of primer; it has a very flattering natural coverage and texture; super easy to apply and blend (I typically use my fingers + beauty blender); it feels comfortable on the skin; and my oily complexion doesn't go into overdrive, making my fringe stick to my face in that unflattering way.

In terms of value for money, I genuinely love that when you break down the cost of the travel and full versions, they're about equal.

When I use this product, I don't expect flawless glamour (it has CC Cream in the name, after all). I just something comfortable and pretty, which is exactly what I get. I should really buy the full-sized one before I run out...

Smudges too easily

Like many others, I was super excited to receive this and try it out especially after loving the Full Fat Lashes. Sadly, it's so prone to smudging on my combo-oily complexion (I get raccoon eyes in two hours) that it's often not worth wearing. I've found that the only way to wear it with minimal smudging is to keep it to one coat and make sure that my under eye area is well powdered. Provided the weather isn't hot and humid, it works quite well and looks great, but being in Georgia means I still get a tiny bit of smudging but at least avoid the raccoon eyes. And for how much this product is supposed to cost... Not worth.

I love Charlotte Tilbury's products, but this is probably the first one I'd advise my friends to not buy. Instead of this product, go for CT's Full Fat Lashes if you're curious about her products. Her eyeshadow quads are also fantastic.
