Sonia G. Traditions Select TS1 is the limited edition smudger brush you’ve been waiting for. It’s ideal to add definition, smudge a pencil, or place and effortlessly diffuse powder products. Featuring a thoughtful combination of white Canadian squirrel and white saikoho goat bristles, it has a full shape and stable, reliable tip—while remaining soft and effective on the skin. A buildable, softly diffused finish is at your fingertips. Manufactured in Kumano, Japan with a very high level of artisan craftsmanship and best-in-class materials.

A Note from Sonia:

You may notice a small gap while pushing the bristles near the ferrule (or when washing the bristles), this is due to the bundling of the shorter lateral hairs which support the movement of the bristles. This is by design and can vary with each brush due to the unescapable variety in the natural products used.

Why It's Special

• Handles are well-balanced, easy to hold, and made using Keyaki Zelkova Serrata—a luxurious native wood from Japan. Handles may differ in hue and grain, depending on the wood piece, adding to its unique beauty
• Handles were made using the traditional tonoko polishing powder to fill and smooth the wood. Tonoko powder also strengthens the wood and prevents it from moving too much (with changes in humidity and temperature)
• A mix of white Canadian squirrel and Saikoho goat bristles offers a stable, reliable tip that remains super soft and effective on the skin
• Made in Kumano, Japan with a very high level of artisan craftsmanship and best-in-class materials
