Papaya Yogurt Mask Wash-Off

Non-Drying, Exfoliating Rinse Formula

The only mask that I've used prior to this was Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser Cleansing Mask and although I loved the tingly feeling that had on my face, it did nothing for me. I find that good, affordable masks are kind of hard to find in the US so with the help of a friend in Hong Kong, I was able to get this Skin Food mask for about $8.

While not a treatment for acne, I found that this was much more effective at actually taking care of my skin in some way than the Clean & Clear Mask ever was. Skin Food makes wash-off masks with different ingredients depending on your needs, and Papaya Yogurt is intended to moisturize dry skin, and since my combo skin is dry during the winter I decided to give this one a go, and I'm so glad that I did!

I apply the mask rather liberally and leave it on for about 10 minutes before rinsing it off. The mask doesn't leave a tightened-skin feeling (overdrying) during or after use. It also contains tiny little beads in it that work like scrubbing agents and aid in exfoliating my skin as I'm rinsing it off. My skin feels really soft and clean after I've patted it dry, and I never had dry or flaking skin this past winter like I normally did prior to trying this mask.

For those who have sensitive skin, however, I would be a little cautious because the scrubbing agent in this mask may cause some irritation. Though this works out really well for me, I find that the skin around my cheeks sometimes does appear a little pink after rinsing due to the beads in the mask. Skin Food does carry a gentler exfoliating Rice Mask, as long as you don't mind the whitening properties of rice.
