Just the right amount of exfoliation
This is my Goldilocks of scrubs; it contains multiple-size particles to help remove all the dead skin cells on the surface without over-exfoliating the skin. On the days I wear foundation, this is the perfect prep to ensure the makeup sits smoothly on the skin. This is no easy feat for a scrub as I use 0.1% tretinoin every night, and my skin is very dry most of the time. I have used scrubs that provide an even more powerful exfoliation, like the Omorovicza Refining Facial Polisher, but if I'm not careful with that one, I can easily over-exfoliate. I find this formula prevents me from doing that with the varying sizes and density of particles (some beads have more give than others), so you never run the risk of rubbing the skin raw in certain areas. I can't see I notice a brightening effect, but the just right scrubbing ability alone will have me rebuying.
Effective and Non-irritating
I like this scrub. It exfoliates well but is not irritating. My skin feels smooth afterwards. I even use it on my lips and it works great.
