Follow-up to Initial Review on 02-JUN-2017
Alright guys... As you can see by my star rating, I clearly love this product. What the star rating lacks is the NUMBER of stars I want to give this little miracle worker. This is, hands down, my favorite eye serum I've ever used.
Before I get ahead of myself, let me describe the skin around my eyes. I have oily, hooded eyelids, but very dry undereyes. I'm 29 years old (turning 30 in a couple of months), but dark circles and crepe-y skin around the eyes run in my family. About a year ago, I started noticing that when I used shimmers or glitters on my eyelid, it looked extra wrinkly and chunky. I've been using eye creams for about 4 years now. The eye creams I've used are as follows: Algenist Renewal Balm, Origins Ginzing eye cream, Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Acid eye treatment and Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift.
Prior to the FECC, the most "effective" eye serum was the Dr. Dennis Gross one. However, I went through that WAY faster than I'll ever get through the FECC and it contains the same amount of product.
So, now you have a bit of a background, let me tell you how my eyes have changed after a month and a half of FECC use:
My mobile (top) eyelid is almost completely smooth. My Natasha Denona glitter and metallic eyeshadow apply with a mirrored, foiled finish. Creasing on my eyelids has been reduced, and the darkness has been corrected slightly. I can used a regular eyeshadow primer (instead of one that contains a tint), and the eyeshadows aren't hindered by the pigment in my skin.
My under eyes have significant reduction in fine lines. Concealers don't crease much anymore (before, I needed to use an eyeshadow primer to prevent creasing under my eyes). I still need to set the undereye concealer with powder (a light layer of the RCMA No-Color Powder), though. As far as concealing is concerned, I used to need a color corrector (Laura Mercier undereye corrector) as well as a full-coverage concealer (Tarte Shape Tape) to get the same effect I get now with a light/medium coverage concealer (Stellar Limitless concealer).
How I use this product and how long I've used it:
I started using this June 1st, 2017, and have used it religiously since then. I apply ONE drop to each eye in the morning and let it sink in for about 15 minutes before applying makeup. At night, I apply TWO drops on each eye (one drop for my eyelid and one drop for my undereye).
What you can expect:
This stuff is STICKY. It's definitely oily feeling. If you don't like that, you won't like this. At night, after applying this serum, when I blink, I can feel my eyelid sticking together a little bit. The sticky feeling does, however, go away after about 30 minutes or so. You can expect to wake up with soft and supple eyelids, though, and the stickiness is completely gone by morning. You might still get some stickiness in the morning, but just give it time to sink in before concealer application. You can use an eye primer on your undereyes (if you have oily undereyes) before concealer application, and you shouldn't experience any creasing.
This is the last eye serum I will ever purchase. Unless they change the formula, this serum is worth WAY MORE than the cost. This 30 mL bottle will likely last me at least a year with regular use.
I tried to provide a complete review, but please keep in my, if your skin type differs, you may not get the same result. If you have deep wrinkles, you should still expect softening of your lines. This will help with Crow's Feet, too. Hope this was helpful! :)
Initial Review - will update with more use
This stuff is POTENT! You need just one drop for each eye. Initially, it gets VERY sticky (if you're going to apply makeup over top of it, be sure to give at LEAST 30 minutes for it to sink in, or only use it at night time). However, the stickiness goes away with time. I've used it once - just overnight - I put it on again this morning, and my skin feels very smooth with just one application. If you have dry undereyes, this will be a GODSEND. I'll write another review with repeated use. But, so far, it definitely feels like it's working.
You won’t believe your eyes (literally)
I feel like I have tried every eye cream or serum under the sun. From drug store brands (Neutrogena, Roc) all the way to high-end brands (Dr. Brandt, Rodan&Fields). My main concern was crepe-y skin and fine wrinkles. The only one that came somewhat close to helping was the dr. Brandt one. Until I stumbled upon this.
This serum has given me the most noticeable difference in the least amount of time. I used it am and pm for 1 week and noticed a difference in the overall condition of my under eye skin. It was much smoother and seemed tighter. The fine lines were much better. My under eyes were indeed less puffy. The dark circles were lessened, but are not gone comepletely (I have a newborn, no surprise there).
I love how it just sinks into your skin and is not sticky at all. But yet it feels SO moisturizing. It doesn’t make my mascara smudge during the day and my concealer goes on extra smooth and won’t budge as the day wears on. I now have been using the serum for about 1.5 months and LOVE the results. I will not search any longer. I have found the holy grail ladies. One small bottle is well worth the price, it’s just one drop each application, so it lasts a long time!
This does EVERYTHING it claims to do. I am crazy about this serum. It is a lot cheaper than many other serums I have tried which have done little to nothing. This works and I only use two drops for my eye lids and under eyes so it will last a long time.
best eye serum
Thin, yet powerful! Never greasy. Pumps my under eyes erasing fine lines in an instant. Hard to believe, I know, but that's what it does for my 35year old eyes. It is so amazing! I use twice a day, before sleep and before makeup application. One drop on each eye is more than enough. Love love love...
Holy grail product?? Maybe!!
Before I start this review let me describe my under ussues. I have the start of some fine lines, puffiness, dark circles and a tiny bit of crepiness on the inner corners. These issues make it hard to find a concealer to cover your dark circles. I usually wait at least a week before I review a product. However I have noticed somethings within the last 5 days of use. 1. I noticed the skin under my eyes is much more even in tone and my dark circles aren't quite as dark. 2. Under eye puffiness has gone done a little and 3. My concealer looks more more smooth under my eyes. This product isn't sticky and has no scent. The only negative thing I can say is that it take about 8 to 10 mins to completely absorb into my skin. I definitely recommend this product if you have problematic under eyes like myself. I'm excited to see results over the next couple of weeks and months
New favorite eye treatment
I LOVE this eye serum. It has a unique consistency. When I apply with the dropper, it feels slippery and oil-like. However, when I tap it into my upper and lower eye area, it transforms into a very lightweight non-sticky serum. I also pair this with an eye cream from a new brand called Plantioxidants (highly recommend). The eye cream works to seal this treatment into my skin, and the combination is heavenly. I was experiencing a lot of dryness and creasing under my eyes when I'd apply concealer, and that's no longer a problem!
I didn’t expect much from this product quite honestly, but read the reviews and said what the heck! I’ve used every high end cream/serum out there.. this one is the HG of rye serums!! My eyes look smoother and refreshed, makeup goes on smoothly and no pilling. I’m in love.
