I'VE WORN THIS AND ONLY THIS FOUNDATION FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS...
I first tried this foundation out when I started working for Sephora in 2007. I tried it once & never looked back. I tell everybody and their MAMA that this is the best foundation for EVERYBODY... no matter the skin type - oily to dry to dehydrated... it's the best. IT'S 85% WATER. say no more. it'll bring an end to your clogged pores and acne that stems from wearing oil based foundations... IF YOU DON'T WEAR IT - YOU ARE NOT WINNING AT LIFE... :o)
i say that to encourage - not to be rude. it's all out of makeup love. xoxoxo
This is an excellent, natural and fresh looking foundation. I rub it onto my face with my fingers like I would a tinted moisturizer. It leaves me with flawless (but not too flawless) coverage. I still use a concealer for pigmentation and my purple eye circles.
The feel and wear of this foundation is what sets it apart for me. It doesn't do strange things by the end of the day like crack, flake, clump, settle, or fade off. When I set with powder (Korres Wild Rose) my foundation looks the same as I did when I first applied it.
My skin has a tendency to turn very greasy with most foundations, but not this one. The shade is a perfect match too, not too yellow. I'm extremely happy with this product and will repurchase as long as I can.
You Need It!
This is one of those foundations that you'll always find a reason to use. It works during every occasion, and the finish is perfect! It's a gel foundation that's easily buildable. Definitely works better with your fingers or brushes, as it tends to soak into sponges rather quickly. I adore it, and if I were still a makeup artist, I'd use this on every client!
It's really hard to a water-based, waterproof, and light coverage foundation with so many ranges of color! I have combination skin with more of an oily tendency, and this product stays put all day without having to touch up or worry about it melting off. The coverage is also EXTREMELY natural and sheer, but still buildable; allowing you to build up product where necessary. Also, I break out really easily, and with this product I have not broken out once even with the light fragrance. Best 40 bucks ever spent!!
I LOVE this stuff. I switch up my routine quite often but I always end up back with MUFE's face and body. I love that its water based and gives such a cool and smooth finish. I love how the consistency can actually help fill in the fine lines, and leave your skin looking flawless. It's my everyday wear foundation and I've never broke out because of using it. I don't like the hassle of using primer before my foundation application and with this stuff, I dont even need it. The wide range of colors is great because I've went out and bought 3 shades so far for all the seasons.
About a year ago I switched to this product from the whole mineral make-up craze and I couldn't be happier. I used the Shiseido liquid foundation when I first started make-up years ago. However, I hated the way it felt on my face. I tested out other foundations as well but I was shocked at how stiff it made my skin.
One big complaint about liquid foundation is how "cakey" or "heavy" it feels on the skin. The Face&Body formula, however, is neither. Although it isn't as long-lasting as I would like, I think it does an excellent job of giving a natural finish and feels amazing on the skin. I highly suggest you use a primer. I feel like I'm going out with a bare face when I wear it.
I definitely agree with the previous review. Yes, it looks a little odd when you see it in person because it's so watery and crazy looking. However, because of its particular formula, you are able to use all of the product because it drips out of the bottle so easily and effortlessly. My explanation may be a bit difficult to comprehend but I think you must see the product in person and you'll understand exactly what I mean!
Amazing water-based foundation
Again, Makeup Forever hardly disappoints. Their face and body foundation is 50% water, and feels like nothing when applied on the skin. The coverage is buildable and layerable, your skin will not cake! I have combination fair skin and wear shade 20. If you have slightly oily skin I recommend a very light setting powder or something like MAC Blot over it just to prevent the oilies.
The texture can be a bit off-putting at first. In the glass jar, it looks like a weird watery gelatinous substance. Once you take a little bit either on your finger or with a stippling brush like the MAC 187, it blends onto your skin really well, making it transform your skin (it photographs AMAZINGLY) Lasts all day as well. Do not hesitate to buy this, and make sure to go to a sephora store to get color matched/samples
