One word—AMAZING!

I am absolutely at awe with this powder! I purchased this not too long ago as I had store credit from Sephora but fell in love with it the first time I used it. This is a revolutionary powder; it completely changes the texture of any foundation to smooth and matte without giving the nasty, cakey, powdery face effect. Also, it makes my foundation stay on all day and sit very comfortably on my face.

My Favorite Setting Powder

I was shopping around for a translucent powder to set my liquid foundation (I'm currently using Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk) and a sales associate and had recommended the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. Because I'm a fan of Laura Mercier products in general, I took her word for it and purchased it. I'm so glad I did! This setting powder is very fine and goes on smoothly. Only a small amount is needed at a time so the large container will last a long time. I apply the loose powder with a big, fluffy powder brush after my putting on my foundation, bronzer, and blush, to set everything in. Directly after setting my makeup, the powder leaves my face with a matte-like finish. However, as it starts to set in throughout the day, my skin starts to look more dewy and smooth, all while holding my makeup in place. Because I tend to get oily in my T-Zone areas, I do need to powder those areas with a compact from time to time (if I'm out and about all day) to prevent from looking shiny. Overall, I love this lightweight setting powder and would recommend it to anyone who uses liquid foundations and wants a natural looking finish.

I have to powder my oily skin but also I would love to have a dewy complexion, it seemed like it's impossible for me but with this powder I'm not oily and my skin is glowing. Absolutely brilliant product, it's fantastic under the eyes too. Love love love

I purchased this for the 1st time yesterday after many months of searching for a good setting powder. So far so good. However, as many beauty products from department stores, it's a tad bit overpriced.

This powder is amazing, I used to hate using foundations, tint, primer, power ... basically anything with my face because I feel heavy... but with this product, I can barely feel the different yet give me a smoother and less oily. Highly recommend, LOVE it!

I purchased this to set my laura mercier tinted moisturizer and I really like it. It helps keep my makeup on all day and I recently went to vacation with my family to New Orleans and in the humid/rainy weather (in the middle of june) it stayed on all day long. It does make your skin look smooth and although I don't really have any blemishes my skin looked baby bottom soft.

A staple in my makeup routine.

I can't put on my foundation without setting it with this powder. I can settle for my go-to pressed powder (Maybelline Dream Matte) but I prefer to use this loose setting powder to initially set my foundation. The whole purpose of this powder is to set your makeup and it does just that! This powder is really lightweight and really smooth. I have creases under my eyes so when I put concealer there it usual falls in between the lines but using this powder to set it prevents that from happening. It doesn't give you that white cast that some translucent powders give you so it's great for all skin tones. You definitely get what you pay for because you get SO MUCH product! Especially since you're only using just a sift of it I guarantee it will last you forever. It does mattify my face when I first apply it but it doesn't do the job all day because eventually my t-zone will start to get a little bit shiny. Then again its job isn't meant to mattify my face. Nonetheless, it's a great product. If you're looking for something to set your foundation without making your face look cakey then you'll definitely love this!

BEST setting powder

So light and makes your skin look beautifully smooth, almost poreless. It works well to refresh your makeup at the end of the day, if you don't want to re-do your foundation all over again. You get a lot of product too and it lasts forever. Highly reccommended, I use it everyday and cannot live without it!

One of my personal favs.

This is by far my favorite setting powder to set my makeup. If I ever use a liquid foundation, this is usually what I opt for. The powder is amazingly fine and very smooth. I prefer the Translucent one out of all her loose setting powder, because I don't have to worry about getting a new powder when my skin tone slightly changes. As for the finish, I have oily skin and I don't find this to give off a matte look. However, I'm fine with that, since I don't like a completely matte look all the time. I would say it gives off a satin finish for oily, combo, to normal skin. As for dry skin, I don't think it'll look or feel 'drying' on your skin. You don't need to use a lot of this to set, so this will last a long long time. Trust me, you really get for what you paid for. Definitely worth it and is my staple item for sure. :)

One of the best.

This is definitely one of the best setting powders I have ever tried. I got this in the Laura Mercier Undercover Pot, and liked it to much I decided to buy a full-size version. This is extremely fine, almost fluffy, and glides onto the face effortlessly. It isn't mattifying, and does leave a... I don't want to call it a "glow" because it isn't really that... it just has a soft focus effect that looks great. It isn't as long lasting as I would want it to be, but I attribute that to my oily skin, and combat it with Urban Decay's De-Slick spray. I really like this powder, and since a little goes a long way, I'll be using this for a long time!
