My new favourite brush

I rarely write reviews despite of owning lots of Sonia G and Chikuhodo brushes. I don't wear full face of makeup and most days I just put foundation or concealers focusing on the under eye and around nose regions. Therefore other foundation brushes I own are a tad too big for this purpose and this brush is just perfect for me! This brush does not absorb liquid product like natural hair brushes or sponges and is pleasantly dense with good control while being very soft. And very easy to wash and not precious. I am glad I picked it up.

Great for Blending out Concealer

So, I purchased this brush and the bigger FU-PA03. I was originally looking for a dupe of the Westman Atelier Blender Brush. I love Westman Atelier, but I thought $125 for a single synthetic foundation brush was a little outrageous, even though I'm a brush collector. I wasn't sure which size I was going to like better, and I purchased both. It still came out to less than half of one Westman brush.

Here is where this Koyudo brush excels: this is really great for blending out concealer under the eye. I've been using both the Pat McGrath and Kosas concealers, and this brush just buffs out the product so well.

Why I am knocking off a star: I wish this was true concealer brush instead of a mini foundation brush. If this brush had a slightly smaller diameter, this would be PERFECT for underneath the eye. The FU-PA03 is really too big for precise concealer use, but that brush is the perfect foundation brush, at least for me. Also, for some reason the FU-PA03 is a little softer than this brush. This brush is by no means scratchy, but it feels a little "harder" against my skin than the FU-PA03.

Synthetic brushes I own for reference: Koyodo FU-PA03, BK Beauty Angled Foundation brush, Bdellium Tools Angled Foundation and Concealer brushes, the Hourglass angled kabuki brush.

Out of all these synthetic brushes, I do prefer the Koyudo brushes. The FU-PA series has replaced my Hourglass brush as my go-to. They are just much softer.
