Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
I have been using Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for about 8 or so years. I love this foundation and many foundations cause my skin to break out but not this one. The only thing I would like is this foundation in 04 with more pink to match my skin tone. It does blend beautifully with a blender sponge or brushes.
My Perfect Match
Out of all the foundations I’ve tried over the many years of wearing makeup, I have finally found my perfect match! I have fair skin with a warmer undertone and the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in shade #04 fits me perfectly. I have been using this foundation for about a year and had just recently purchased my second bottle, which is one of the first things I love about this product; a little goes a long way! Just one or two pumps of this product during each application provides me with a full, flawless coverage giving me a silky smooth and dewy look that lasts, even with my combination skin type. When I want a slightly more matte look, I apply my favorite Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder which also helps to hold the foundation in place for long periods of time. The Luminous Silk also works great with a BeautyBlender sponge which allows for quick and easy application. Lastly and most importantly, because I tend to have sensitive skin, I am happy to say that this foundation does not irritate my skin at all. Overall, amazing foundation!
Irritated my skin unfortunately
Loved Maestro so I thought I'd give this a whirl. I have dry skin so for winter I wanted a foundation to give me a dewy look. Something about the formula and silicones really didn't do well for my skin. Loved the color match but hated the way my skin felt.
Maestro Much Better
I have Armani's Maestro and so I thought I'd try something different from the line. Color match was right on but application was difficult. Applied over my serum this foundation was difficult to spread with my fingers even though I worked in sections. The coverage is fairly decent but I didn't like having to set it with powder unlike my Maestro which dries to a powder finish. Will I re-purchase? Nope.
Feels like silk...
This foundation is great! I got to play with it yesterday in a product training and instantly fell in love. No, I wouldn't recommend this product for someone with oily skin, or at least not without a mattifying primer applied underneath. All in all a great product.
Fantastic range of colours!!
I've never found a more perfect colour for my skin, and this foundation is so beautiful on the skin! It is very expensive, so I recommend trying it first to see how it reacts with you. Also, the coverage is what I classify as sheer- medium, but that might be different to what you might call it, so just test it first. It's very pricey, and purely for that reason I wouldn't purchase it again... just because I think there are cheaper alternatives that can give a very similar effect. Overall, this foundation is very beautiful and I would suggest it for people with cash to splash & who enjoy hydrating foundations that give a natural and dewey finish.
Lovely foundation. Lovely price too!
Although this foundation is pricey ($90.00 aus), I tried it on my sister today and she absolutely loved it. Went on smoothly and lightly. Was able to build it up quite nicely. Looks great in photos as well. Two of my make-up teachers highly recommended this foundation and Im glad they did :)
