Disappointing
I was very disappointed by this product, ESPECIALLY because they weren't cheap! I love using micellar water with a cotton pad, as it usually takes my makeup off pretty well while also making my skin soft. This was NOT the case with these wipes. Rather than removing my mascara, they smudged it around so that I have raccoon eyes. It also leaves my face feeling stiff and dry rather than soft and hydrated. To be completely honest these are probably garbage-bound. Very disappointed that I wasted my money. Side note - I don't need all the frilly packaging! I would rather get an empty box with just my product in a reasonable amount of time than get something full of wasteful tissue paper to try and make my beauty products "pretty". They do that when they're on my body!
Good, but liquid Bioderma is better
I've been using Bioderma Sensibio micellar water for about 2 years now. When I went to France last year I saw these wipes at a pharmacy and got a pack for kicks.
While I didn't love them then, I still order them from Beautylish. Why?
Because sometimes it's just easier to use a wipe than cotton pads when you just want to crawl in bed at the end of a long day.
As a point of reference, I wear primer, liquid foundation, and a setting powder on my face. On my eyes, always mascara. Most days shadow and eyeliner too. So there's a lot to take off at the end of the day.
These wipes don't hold a candle to Bioderma in its traditional state. They are not super saturated like most facial wipes, which is what I think most people have a problem with.
Personally, I take my Bioderma bottle and pour some into the pack and store it upside down so the flap doesn't allow too much air in and dry it back out. This solution helps tremendously on the face makeup, and does a tad better on the eyes than the wipes on their own.
So when there are tons of great wipe options on the market, why do I stick with these? Because I feel like Bioderma is the most sensitive to my eyes, and at the end of the day that is what I find most important.
And as someone who is perpetually lazy about taking my makeup off at night, I take the "something is better than nothing" mentality and thats what these achieve on those really exhausting nights.
Not a bang for the buck
As a makeup artist I had great expectation from the Bioderma wipes. The wipes does not take off eye makeup and stings the eyes to the extent that it leads to an eye infection. It doesn't even do a good job removing the makeup unless you use 3-4 wipes. Obviously one would wash the face with a face wash but definitely not a bang for the buck.
Wish I could pick 3 1/2
They are nice and thick which I really like and they remove daily wear makeup good but anything heavy they don't do amazing. I LOVE the Micellar water and I was hoping this could be a travel version but sadly not quite as good. But certainly they don't suck. I think they will be great in my gym bag or the beach or lake! They do have a very "French" product scent like fresh rose-ish. I f you hate scent don't get them!
Meh.
Ok, I'll be the first to say I never really latched on to the Bioderma craze. The micellar water never really did much for me, and I preferred sticking to wipes. So when I saw they came out with their own makeup wipes, I decided to give it a shot and see if this would make me understand the hype. Maybe I got a bad package, but the wipes seemed very dry. They required a lot of rubbing on my skin to get my medium-coverage foundation off, possibly because there was seemingly no liquid on the wipe. And eye makeup? Forget about it. Even though they were dry, they had a strong scent to them. Sadly, I won't be repurchasing.
Meh, you can skip these
I love the micellar water! It's my go to so I was stoked when these came out. First glance they smell nice, they are soft and slightly damp. But trying to remove my make up was a no go! It leaves my face feeling dry and stiff. I always use aveeno makeup removing wipes and they remove the toughest of makeup. These were a huge disappointment I'll stick to my cotton pad and micellar water instead of these.
