Favorite Brand, Hand Down

This is my favorite nail polish brand of all time. They have such a wide range of colors and it's the least expensive of the "higher end" brands. I don't have a problem with ANY of the formulas. The pigmentation is great and the two coats is all I need. It dries quickly and I don't have a problem with chipping.

Ehh

First things first. This is a great conversation piece. Pull it out of your bag and people are like "What on Earth is that?" It also smells great and I love that it's natural. Other than that, it's not practical or small areas. I also didn't find it any more moisturizing than other lip balms.

I feel I'm the only one who isn't obsessed.

I bought this foundation recently because I wanted one that might be better at controlling the oils on my face. It did an ok job combating the oil but it didn't give me the coverage I wanted. I'm looking for something that's medium but build-able. I felt that this got slightly caking with layering and I do very thin layers. Also, the smell is horrible. And lastly, I felt that the colors ran too cool. I had to buy toast and caramel to mix. I wish there was a color in between because these two aren't that close together.

Hit and Miss

OPI is number one in my book when it comes to creative nail color names and unique colors. However, many of the formulas that I have are crap. Sorry, there's no other way to put it. Several are VERY thick and "gloppy". For $8.50 a bottle I expect greatness in a bottle and while I love the color the application process is a pain.

Holy Grail Status!

I didn't get into Essie nail polishes until a few years ago. I always thought it was a brand that carried less pigmented, pale pink colors. Well, Essie has quickly become one of my top brands. Lilacism, Mint Candy Apple and French Affair are Holy Grail colors in my collection. I love the formulas on all of the colors I have and they don't chip easily. Not to mention the packaging is super cute and chic.

Awesome primer!

This primer is great at containing the oil on my lids so my shadows don't crease, as well as making the colors pop and last. However, the old packaging sucks as we all know. Don't depot it; that just makes it dry out quicker. But I do love the different textures and finishes that have been introduced in the last year or so.

Go-to palette in a rush.

I've been obsessed with this palette from day one. I'm always in a rush and it's perfect for fast, easy, beautiful eye looks. I love the endless amount of looks you can create with this palette. It's compact and super easy to store and travel with. I'm only a tad bit bummed that now the palette comes with a brush instead of the 24/7 liner. ;)
