Beauty Product Reviews

Eh.

I bought this at sephora because I needed an eye pencil for my waterline, I asked one of the salespeople what they recommended. They gave me this. They swatched it on their hand and it was very pigmented and dark and it doesn't come off with rubbing. I was instantly impressed and bought it. Sadly, it works the best on your freaking hand! Because the skin on your hand is firm, it draws a nice line easily but on my eyelids which are naturally not as firm as my hand when I make a fist, it tugs at my lids! I should've returned it but I kept it because I wanted to keep trying, I thought maybe it was because it was a new product and I needed to soften it. Not the case. I've had it for months now. It disappoints me, I still use it because I'm way past returning it so I have to stick it out. The lines aren't even black because I can get that great of a pigmentation on my lids when it keeps pulling it instead of gliding across, honestly, if you have sensitive lids, skip this. The staying power isn't what it's cracked up to be either. I guess it's rub-proof. Not quite teary contact-wearer proof. Sigh. I'll keep using this until I find something better.

HOWEVER, I do like how precise it is because I don't like lining my waterline with a thick black line and this gives me an awesome "tightline" kind of feel to my waterline. That's the only reason why it's sticking around. But when my eyes don't want to take another round of tugging, I reach for another one of my pencils. Still in search for the perfect pencil liner.
