I really want to dye my hair but I'm not sure if I should go darker or lighter. Would it look better with my skin color darker? Of just highlights? Any suggestions?

I think that highlights one shade lighter than your hair would look really nice on you :)

My skin tone is actually quite similar to yours so here's my two cents worth from my own experience. First, I find my hair always needs to suit my general frame of mind- do I want to be dramatic or outgoing or flirty and fun or eccentric and funky? That will definitely help you figure out what suits. Another thing to keep in mind is that it's much easier to fix hair that's been lightened than darkened so if you're really not sure go light first just in case (plus light is a summer tradition). Ultimately though we're really lucky with our skin tone because we can pull off just about any colour! So when it comes down to it I recommend having fun and eventually you'll find the right colour. And you are gorgeous just as you are by the way :)
