Hi Brii with my dark red lips I used Urban Decay 24/7 glide on lip pencil in the color 69 and I used Ruby woo by Mac to fill in. When I do my lips I always use a lip liner as close to my lipstick color as possible to give myself a guide I hope this helps you if not I definitely don't mind helping you find a better answer that would best help you!! :-)
