This fall and winter, makeup brands have been coming out with collections and products all exuding femininity. This season, natural makeup, enhancing a glowing, healthy complexion, is what's in fashion. Instead of wearing a dramatic smokey eye, try a rosy cheek or lip. Some products from this season's makeup collections, such as Bobbi Brown, Chanel, and YSL, can be seen above, as well as girly headbands and hairpins which will also be very in fashion for the fall/winter season.

For my favourite eye products I've only included my favourite products of the moment, eye makeup is such a broad subject and my favourites change frequently. However some of the products included are all time favourites but others such as eyeshadow and mascara are always prone to change. 1. Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Quad in Seductive: This eyeshadow quad is perfect if you want to create a dramatic look for a night out. You don't often find eyeshadow colours like this which is why I love this quad. Not only are all the shades pigmented, blendable, and long-lasting, but it's completely affordable. The star of the quad is definitely the shade in the bottom left corner, a matte but very pigmented purple. 2. NYX's Jumbo Eye Penicls: A great and affordable cult favourite. These pencils are extremely creamy, pigmented, and blendable; perfect as an eyeshadow base. Two of my favourites are the shades Milk, a plain white, and Iced Mocha, a metallic light brown. 3. Urban Decay Primer Potion: Another cult favourite, but for good reason. This primer definitely makes sure your eye makeup stays put throughout the day, preventing fall-out and fading, and ensuring more vibrant results from your eyeshadows. 4. MAC Pro Reflects in Pearl: Even though this is a pro product, if you can find it on Ebay, ordering it would be well worth your while. This glittery pigment is amazing at brightening up any eye look, especially a dramatic one. I like to apply Too Faced's Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue over my eyeshadow and then pat on the pigment to make my eyes really sparkle. 5. Lancome's Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara: A great mascara that lifts and volumizes to give a doll-like effect. The unique, cone-like wand is key in providing this effect, the skinnier tip helping to coat the hard-to-get lashes in the corners of your eyes. This mascara is also formulated without unhealthy ingredients such as parabens and sulfate. DiorShow Waterproof Mascara: My all time favourite high-end waterproof mascara. It gives incredible volume and length without running, smudging, and flaking when wet. You can look glamourous even in the water. Chanel Eyelash Curler: Amazing tool that will give you a perfect curl and really open up your eyes. Paired with the Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes I can always get full, glamourous lashes, better than any falsies. 6. MAC's Fluidline in Blacktrack: I have yet to find a gel liner I like better than this one. I use this and a MAC 266 angled brush whenever I want to create a sleek cat eye. It's creamy formula ensures a smooth application and once set, does not smudge or transfer. An overall great product, another of my all time favourites.

The second step to have a flawless finish is incorporating products such as bronzer, blush, and luminizer into your makeup routine. These products pull your foundation routine together and can give you a truly flawless look. 1. NARS Laguna Bronzer: This is my all-time favourite bronzer. It gives you that healthy sun kissed look like the name suggests. It's a brown-based bronzer with shimmer that goes on without looking orange and the shimmer gives you a nice glow without being overwhelming. Victoria's Secret Baked Mineral Powder: This bronzer is a great, more affordable alternative compared to the NARS Laguna bronzer. It comes in three different shades; I use the shade Goddess. This baked bronzer applies well, very blendable, and has very fine shimmer to give a beautiful VS model-like glow. 2. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick: These highlights are great for giving a natural glow to your complexion. They come in five bars of pearlescent shades that can also be used as eyeshadows. I use the shade Nectar and apply it lightly to my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, and a little in the centre of my forehead to brighten up my skin. Benefit's High Beam: If you're thinking of trying a liquid highlight, High Beam would be a great choice. However, it does create a pearly pink dewy look so if you have oily skin this might not be for you. It's really easy to work with, apply a few dots with the brush applicator and blend it out with your fingers. 3. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12hr Blush: This is long-wearing baked blush that will last you all day. What's great about this blush is that it will adjust to your skin type. For example, if you have oily skin, the ingredients in the blush will work to minimize the natural oils to keep your skin balanced and help the blush to last longer. There are multiple different shades; I have the shades Warm Peach and Glisten. MAC Blushes: With countless different shades from the permanent collection to limited edition, MAC blushes have always been a cult favourite. With both powder and cream blushes, it's guaranteed there's a match for everyone. I have several MAC blushes in my collection I could write a whole separate post on, but at the moment my favourite blush is Springsheen, a sheer tone blush. It's comparable to NARS' blush in orgasm but not as strong, however Springsheen is definitely buildable.

In my opinion, your face/foundation routine can be the most important part of putting together a look, whether it be your everyday five minute routine, or if you're getting ready for a special night out. Having flawless skin will always give you that extra boost of confidence you might be craving and these are the products I use to achieve that look: 1. bareMinerals 'Prime Time' Foundation Primer: This primer comes free of preservatives, formulated for all skin types. It's meant to combat a whole spectrum of skin problems from dry/oily skin, to enlarged pores and uneven texture. This primer also has spf 15 for added protection, and includes multiple age-defying properties such as soothing plant extracts and vitamins E and C. An overall great foundation primer for any skin type. 2. Chanel Perfection Lumière Foundation: A beautiful foundation in a wide range of shades. Applies well, very blendable with an spf of 10, and gives and overall natural and flawless finish. I use shade #22 Beige Rosé. Revlon ColourStay Foundation: A great affordable drug store alternative. Comes in different formulas for different skin types, something new for a drug store foundation. I use shade #150 Buff for combination/oily skin with spf 6. Lasts all day and does not transfer, keeping the oils on my face under control. 3. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit: This is my favourite under-eye concealer. The salmon tones in this concealer are really effective at brightening up your under-eye area. It has a very creamy consistency and applies and blends well. It also preserves moisture to achieve that flawless look while the pressed powder can be applied to make sure the concealer lasts throughout the day. I use shade #1317783 Ivory. MAC Studio Finish Concealer: Very effective for covering any blemishes or imperfections. It applies smoothly, blends well, and lasts throughout the day with an spf of 35. Not only does is have water-resistant, full coverage, but it has several nourishing properties such as vitamins A and E as well as silica to help absorb the face's natural oils. I use shade NC15. 4. Clinique Redness Solutions Mineralized Powder: A lightweight powder designed to combat redness with its colour-correcting properties and sets makeup without looking cakey. If you have problem areas such as broken capillaries or mild Rosacea this powder is directly formulated to conceal it. MAC Mineralized SkinFinish Natural: A baked powder formulated to provide a natural yet matte finish. Provides low coverage, great for setting foundation. If used sparingly, it does work well for touch ups throughout the day. I use shade Light Plus.

Bronzer is another beauty staple for the summertime. I use Victoria's Secret baked mineral bronzing powder in Goddess. It's not too pigmented and gives me a natural bronzed glow, something I love. It has very fine shimmer, barely noticeable and not at all overwhelming. This bronzer also comes in two lighter shades.

I've included two waterproof eye products because these are always a must have during the summertime. For waterproof mascara I chose Cover Girl's Lash Blast Volume. This mascara stays put while your in the water, it doesn't run or flake, and is easily removed afterwards with makeup remover. Secondly, I chose Benefit's Bad Gal waterproof liner. It's a kohl-like pencil that goes on smoothly and you can smudge it with the sponge-tip at the one end on the pencil before it sets.

Fourth, I chose two bright lip colours that are very on-trend for the summer. Both are by MAC with satin finishes; the first, Viva Glam Nicki from the seventh Viva Glam collection, a bright yellow pink. Next I chose Sail la Vie, a bright midtone orange, from the Hey Sailor summer collection. This lipstick is right on-trend with tangerine lips for the summer. Both last about 2-3 hours and leave a nice stain on the lips afterwards.

For eye products I chose the Urban Decay, NAKED Palette, and MAC's paint pot in Rubenesque. The UD Naked Palette has all natural shades, perfects for summertime. If you're travelling you can pack this and be set for your vacation, this palette is completely versatile and well worth the money. For when I just want a wash of colour over my lids, I use my Rubenesque paint pot. It's a beautiful coral shade with golden shimmer, a perfect summer colour, and it's also great to use as an eyeshadow base. I've had it for over a year now and have hardly put a dent in it.

Next I chose the Hawaiian Tropic moisturising lip gloss with an spf of 20, in Aloha Kiss, and the LUSH lip scrub in Sweet Lips. I use the LUSH lip scrub every morning, it helps effectively remove all the dead skin from my lips and tastes and smells like chocolate, an added bonus. Afterwards I apply the lip gloss; I typically like to lounge in my pool and this lip gloss protects my lips from the sun and has a sweet fruity scent.

My first two picks are the Jergen's Natural Glow gradual tanning lotion, and the Olay Quench Plus firming body lotion. When I want a bit of extra colour I mix these two lotions together; the Jergen's tanning lotion does have the common tanning lotion smell (not overwhelming), and by mixing it with the Olay firming lotion, it combats the smell and prevents streaking. The Olay lotion also has the added firming properties, which are noticeable after a couple weeks.
