You can find "daylight" bulbs that emit white light (similar to natural light) at the hardware store. I put those in my bathroom and it makes a huge difference.
Another thing I do just to be sure is go out and sit in my car to check my makeup in the light. That way if something needs fixed I can run back inside and fix it before I go anywhere

I would suggest the white bulbs that way there's no other lighting tint to change the color, you can also use mirors to refleact the natural lighting you do have.

Full spectrum bulbs mimic natural sunlight. GE Reveal are full spectrum.
