Hey guys,
Is anyone else having advertisements pop up in the Android app? They are very obtrusive and it is extremely obnoxious trying to answer threads now when ads keep blocking my keyboard...
There weren't ads yesterday. Did the app update today or something?

Yes, unfortunately it's the updated version. It's bad placement, and the ads don't even relate to beauty, fashion, etc. I'm going to tell BL about it when I get on my computer. In my opinion, it's a bad move. They already have a boutique to make money off of, so this isn't like a blog where ads are needed to make money. If they make a premium accounts in order to get rid of the ads, then I'm out of here!

Ad on android apps??

I understand them needing revenue, but this is just a bonehead move. The ads are obstructing the keys, are blinking/moving (which is at least for me a seizure issue), and are advertising things like dating sites and online casinos (a problem since many beautylish users are minors).
I sincerely hope they remove this crap. Like you said Jaime, if they try to pull some premium member stunt I am gone, and I'm sure many of the regulars here will leave as well.
