I've heard that if you eat healthy, you can get less acne. It doesn't make sense to me, but is it true?

Yes. I noticed that my skin is at its best when I drink a lot of water and my skin improved when I cut dairy out of my diet.

I've heard so many people say it can but I never see a difference in my face...

My skin definitely loves it when I incorporate lots of anti-oxidants into my diet. Cutting out sugary foods as well as dairy can help. If you have imbalanced hormones it can definitely help.

YES. if my diet consists of high fat or greasy foods that aren't carefully monitored, I start feeling really crappy AND breaking out.

I talked to my dermatologist about this and he said it's completely a myth, however water is very good for your skin!

My derm is a firm believer that diet plays a crucial role in skin health...as well as genetics, care, and lifestyle. Many people have foods that irritate them, such as dairy or wheat, and your skin is going to reflect your overall health. Just as some of us get rashes or hives from foods or nerves, it can, for some, be the same with breakouts. This is not to say a candy bar or pizza is going to result in acne, but a diet high in processed sugar and trans fats will show as time progresses. Water and a balanced diet will pay off in the long run.
