Need help! My schools winter dance is in less than 2 weeks away and they said to dress "formal" so confused need help!

A long dress will be perfect for formal occasions. Your hair could be up (traditional) or down (modern). Maybe heels if you're comfortable wearing them.

Schools don't define "formal" in most instances as requiring a gown. Formal, for school dances, usually addresses the males' attire with regard to shoes and a tie/jacket and serves as more of a guide for females...and sometimes serves as a way to make clear that certain clothing is prohibited.

I'd wear something knee length with heels and my hair down. Some silver and rhinestone jewelry is always fun in winter. Macy's has some lovely dresses for such an occasion.
