This is a topic that I really don't like to talk about because I find stuff like this gross but I really need help in trying to get rid of them maybe overnight or with something natural that I already have at home?by the way I caught them off my little brother and sister who are in pre school and so they bought them home and I caught them I'm quit disgusted and I just want to get rid of them can anyone help?

Switch your pillow cases an bed set, vacume and don't use the same hair brushes. Put mayo in your hair and brush it out with a comb. then dip the comb into water so you aren't putting 5hem back into your hair. they also sell shampoo. that's the way my mom got rid of lice on my little sister!

You can try vinegar but firstly I recommend a real medication from a pharmacy

Put olive oil through your hair and put a bag over it to suffocate them. I've gotten lice when I was younger from a kid at school it's nothing to be ashamed of

Agreed with Alexis. The eggs are only gone by brushing them out with the special combs, or by killing them with the treatments that you leave on your head for an hour. You can kill the live bugs by vinegar and all that but you'd be doing it for months and months before finally getting rid of them.

Also, you need to freeze or boil your brushes and combs. Wash your sheets, pillow cases, pillows, clothing that you've worn, and any plush animals or decor you have. Make sure to vacuum your couches if they are material that isn't leather, and if they're leather disinfect them. If it's winter where you are (and cold, below freezing level) you can throw pillows and stuffed animals in a bag and leave them outside for 48 hours. It'll kill the bugs and freeze out the eggs.

When I was 10 I got them out with the special shampoo and a powder to kill them, and I removed them with a comb like Bry says but I put a ton of gel in my hair first.

Listen to Alexis. that's exactly what I did when I had it & it worked. but comb through your hair for a couple days to be extra sure everything's gone! good luck :/

Follow Alyx's instructions too! Vacuum everything, your mattress, everything, if you drive a car, treat the headrest, think long and hard about everywhere your head touches. From everyone I know with kids, lice lately have been very hard to get rid of and you may need to treat your hair several times.
Oh my gosh, my oldest, almost 15 started to say "gee mom, you've been really lucky with none of us...". I stopped her there. I was like,"don't say it! Don't speak the words!" I've been so blessed, I'm terrified because I wouldn't be able to sleep I would be up all day and night killing lice that didn't exist because I would be so paranoid!

You really need to purchase a lice treatment from the drugstore, lice is getting more difficult to treat and is now considered a super bug. Wash all of your linens, everything! Stuffed animals too! Throw away brushes clips and combs. You almost need someone to do the treatment for you, you have to get all of the nits or eggs out. Every single nit has to be out or lice will not go away.

I do not believe natural remedies work, I have been a hairdresser for 12 years and I have heard them all, just get the treatment.

This is going to sound crazy BUT it works. Get a can of Raid and spray it into your hair in sections. Of course have someone do it for you. After spraying put a plastic bag and leave it on for 30 min to an hour. Trust me it works. Youll see the bugs come out instantly. My mom did this on me when I was a teenager and a bfriend gave them to me. It works!!

Also shampoo hair a few times. Your hair won't stink or get damaged it comes right out and only spray your roots.

As a preventative, a brand called fairy tales makes a spray. I would use it on yourself and your siblings in the future. I work with kids and use it everyday.

I'm a day care teacher and I wash my hair with tea tree oil shampoo to prevent it.

Alyx is right once again.

Also DO NOT EVER, EVER SPRAY RAID ON YOUR HAIR. Oh my fucking god what kind of stupid, stupid person willingly puts poison on their scalp? I mean come on! I'm sorry to be so blunt but that shit is dangerous and recommending that others do the same is downright irresponsible. Read the warnings on the can and EDUCATE yourself about insecticides before you apply that to your body. Jesus H. Christ I can't believe I even read that.
