I love wearing makeup and I hate going out the house without it. But in the summer its so hot I don't even want to put eyeliner on . Everything runs and melts. Any suggestions?
In the summer I like to have quick and easy makeup that lasts!
I like to use products that have multiple uses. I start out with a foundation primer and then throw on some tinted moisturizer, set it with a good powder and then prime my eyes. I throw on some sort of cream eyeshadow like Benefits RSVP and line my upper lids with Urban Decay's 24-7 in Black - its waterproof and amazzzzing for summer!! Then mascara. I use a cream blush on my cheeks and lips :).
I'm the same way, but I find that things are easier when I keep it simple.
Whatever you feel you 'need', look for alternatives that are water-proof, smudge-resistant, sweat-resistant.. etc or find a really good setting (not refreshing) sprays that will lock it down.
In the summer you'll never catch me without blot film. Some people think it's gross, but it's the easiest way to remove shine without disturbing what I've applied AND I'm not applying anything else.
I love Neutrogena's Healthy Glow Skin Sheers... doesn't offer much coverage but evens me out just enough. Dewy, natural finish that looks like real skin and it has SPF 30, too : ) A little waterproof mascara (I like Lancome's), some lip gloss (Neutrogena also has some great glosses) and i'm good to go!
Make up for ever's mat velvet has been working great for me in the hot weather! If you don't have oily skin, you probably only need a little powder to set it. More powder would be needed if you live in a high humidity region I would imagine. http://thescoopbydanielle.blogspot....
if u cant find a tinted moisturizer in ur own complexion then u might wanna try to use a light weight face cream and mix a little bit of your Favorite liquid foundation in it. this will give u a bit of color and coverage but would still feel very light.
u could also try and look for the darkest tinted moisturizer out there and also mix a bit of foundation in it for the color to suite u.
hope this helps :)
it might be a good idea to go for a sheer mineral powder in your skin tone, that way when you get sweaty during the summertime, it will help balance out the moisture. i usually moisturize first, and then apply the powder on top so that it has something to cling to. another good idea to try if you're really worried about it not staying is to use something like urban decay's all nighter spray or MAC fix+, both of which will set your makeup and help it last a long time.
A week ago I picked up OCC's tinted moisturizers & am in love with them! Been wearing it all week! They come in lots of shades & you can mix them to create your perfect match. They have really great coverage especially since they are a tinted moisturizer.

In my opinion, foundations are too heavy for summer- try a tinted moisturizer.
But if you do want a foundation, try a mousse foundation. For more information about Beauty Products Visit at sleekhair website.
I like mineral foundation. I just started using bare essentials and I love it. I tried knock off mineral foundations and I hesitated for years before I decided to give bare minerals a try. I have to say that I just got it a few months ago and even though it's been in the 80's here lately, I'm anxious to see how this hold up to some real humidity:O)
i like a good tinted moisturizer set with a but of pressed powder. i have oily skin so i feel you on not wanting something heavy on in the summer months. also if you have trouble with eye makeup, try switching to waterproof formulas. that should keep everything in place. hope that helps : )
Tiffany, Bobbi Brown carries colors for everyone pretty much! I have not tried their tinted moisturizer...but I havent seen alot of mineral powder colors and they usually make darker skin look ashy or grey...If you can find a tinted moisturizer i would def go with that vs. mineral powder... I do also like lancome tient idol freshwear *normally I hate lancome* but this is a great foundation and it keeps me matt for several hours but does not make my skin look lifeless.

you could mix some moisturizer with your fav foundation for a lighter, more summer appropriate coverage.

I use powder foundation - it's heavier coverage though. My favorite is MUFE's duo-matte powders. =)

I'm obsessed with the Laura Mercier oil-free tinted moisturizer for the summer. I'd love to get that new one from Chanel, but it's a little pricey.

Fix+ is NOT a setting spray; it's a refresher spray, or something more akin to a toner.
A makeup setting spray would be a good idea, though. :)
