I feel like I've been going through some major events: finally finishing my BA after a long hiatus, one week later starting graduate school and finally realizing what I wanna do with my life! Ahahahahah. So, I feel like I want a change hair wise! I'm thinking I want to keep my length and want a color change. I think I'll have to do it myself, and even though I know my roots are dreadful, I'm thinking I want to dye my tips, or add some streaks. I'm thinking about the attached color, but would love some other thoughts!  Thanks!!

Until they start hiring adults to play kids (I'm an actress), I've placed acting on hold and want to write books!

Think color should just be dip die?

Congrats on getting your BA! Since your hair appears reddish in the pic, I would get a super bright red, or a neon orange, bleach out some random streaks, and apply whatever color you choose.

Thanks Victoria!! That does sound like a good idea!

Jackie if your starting out wanting to write, I would lookup November national writing month, I don't remember the actual name of it. But it's a community of writers lace with well known published writers and you can set goals and wrote leisurely or you can try and do the whole "competition" thing. They've got character graves where someone else created a character with traits and name and if your stumped you can scroll through and take one and obviously you can change them a little or keep them or what ever I believe it's NANO writing month or something. I'll double check but any way you Can talk to other writers and get them to read your story so far and get opinions and stuff. I think it's actually really cool and useful tool esspecially for someone just starting out :)

And I agree a hot spicy red would look hot but so would the colour you choose :) we used ion colour brilliance on my girl in wild orchid but theirs is more purpley

Thanks so much Raylene!! I'll definitely look into that! And the more I look at that color the more I agree that I need something brighter!

I really like the color swatch you are considering + it will even your hair out from root to tip!

No problem Jackie :) I was using it a few years ago. It's really cool I loved it but my kids got in the way of my writing and I feel behind on my goal number of words a day thing and got discouraged but there's a forum board to talk with everyone else on it and links posted and stuff :) glad I could help and you'll have to show us your hair when your done :)

Let us know if you end up coloring it! Raylene mentioned the Ion Color Brilliance brand, and that's a good brand to use. In my profile pic I have in the Ion Brights line in azure. I bleached it first, of course. (All supplies were from Sally's). It faded from the dark blue to a pale turquoise and has pretty much stayed at the same level of light blue thru a month and a half of washing my hair every 2-3 days. It's definitely a brand I would recommend :)

I just looked at Sally's website and the reviews for ion is so bad!! What were your experiences with it like??

Hi. I just saw this! I hope you get to see it! Anyways, it's not terrible. Minimal bleeding the first couple times I washed it (unlike when I used pravana's vivid violet- that stuff bled for weeks after!) Staying power is pretty good, I would compare it to manic panic in that dept. Overall I would repurchase and use the ion brand again in the future. Just curious, what were the bad reviews complaining of?

They complained of bleeding and intense fading etc. maybe I'll give it a go though! Thanks!!
